This is a win-win for both teams. Dallas can't afford a big contract when Luka isn't willing to take care of himself. Luka is young and is more likely to be motivated to change his health habits. Also, he can make extra money thru endorsements. Dallas now has a legitimate chance to win the title with Davis for the next couple of years now that their defense and rebounding will improve.

I dont get the perceived negative dynamic between luka and lebron. Lebron was Lukas idol growing up, Lebron single source recruited Luka for his shoe brand. Lebron will have a sustained influence in Luka learning to be great, putting in the work, and being in condition. Luka idolized lebron, if anyone can reach him its lebron. I think its brilliant.

The point is they don't both need the ball. They are both exceptional passers that are going to wreak havoc. The intelligence level and clutch play is exceptional, even for the highest skilled players. There are maybe 5 clutch players in the NBA, year after year. 2 of them now play fir the Lakers.
