DLO got beat on the drive and did the next best thing by rotating to the next man on the perimeter, that was the correct decision, so that his stronger, bigger, and more capable teammate LeBron James could leave his man on the perimeter and pick up the paint. DLO, JJ, and certainly LBJ all know exactly what happened on that play, and LBJ knows that proper team defense calls for him to rotate onto to DLO’s man. But that didnt happen because he also failed the team defensively on that play. per usual, it’s important that LBJ has a scapegoat during a bad moment, no matter how negligible it is in the grand scheme of things

Perk is right. The other thing I'd add is DeAngelo needs to be in a rebuilding situation. He can put up the numbers if they got no one else to go to. On the Lakers, he's third best, at best, and it hurts his style of game. He's not really a system like player. He's like a Russell Westbrook type player. Put him on a bad team and he'll look great. He just isn't a high-pressure dude.
