At the end of the day, he pushed tom brady out of new england and failed to rebuild the team in the 4 years since. Bill passed on A.J. Brown and DK Metcalf to draft N'Keal Harry. Belichick has drafted just one All Pro since 2013. You can't make this stuff up. Tom carried Bill because he kept his offenses on the field to rest his defense.

Belichick is like 83-104 without Brady, he has won just one playoff game in 11 seasons without him, he has zero division titles without him, and zero conference championship or super bowl appearances without him. And people STILL wonder why owners and managers don't want Bill? Andy Reid made it to Super Bowl 39 with Donovan McNabb, had 5 NFC Championship appearances, and won a wild card game in 2015 with Alex Smith and the Chiefs. He did all of that without Mahomes. Man, there's something special about Shula! 😄NO ONE has caught him with the '72 perfect season (Bill's Patriots came the closest when they went 18-1 several yrs ago). It looks like his total wins record may be safe, as well. Bill is only like 14 games back, but if he sits out this year, depending on where he goes next year (if it's a rebuild) that may take 3 seasons. That's 4 yrs for a 72 year old coach. Couple weeks ago, some national sports reporter (I forget who), was talking about how Belichick would strut around the Patriot's facilities and was not particularly respectful of team owner, Robert Kraft. If I recall correctly, it was something like, if the two passed each other in the hallways, Mr. Kraft would always have to speak first, kind of a thing. I would imagine that VERY few billionaires have the type of ego that would tolerate things like this, championships be damned. Personality MATTERS. Don't think so? Look at the 3 major North American sports........ALL who fired Hall of Fame coaches (with tens, if not hundreds of millions of dollars on the line).......who were STILL winning.......due to ego. Joe Torre mid-2000's New York Yankees, Phil Jackson 1998 Chicago Bulls, Jimmy Johnson mid 90's Dallas Cowboys. IF that is true (and I absolutely believe that it is)........add to Belichick's lack of success with the Browns, post Tom Brady lack of success, poor record as a GM the last 5 years, his poor coaching tree, his age, the amount of control he is purported to want, AND being a defensive minded coach, in an offensive league.........taking all these factors into account, I am NOT surprised that no halfway decent teams are clamoring to hire him. He's a potential headache AND a short-term solution. I would think any teams who have a heritage of winning, want an offensive minded, rising star head coach, who is in his late 30's to early 50's, and who has no immediate aspirations to make personnel decisions.

Talk about all the great past coaches; those days are over & the best place for BB is the front office. Why not?? Elway--Lynch--other HOF players have done it & some are now Coaches/Scouts so, EVERYONE STOP WHINING ABOUT BELICHICK NOT BEING HIRED. Lets talk about the upcoming 2024 NFL season.😢😮😮😮😢

He's a 72 year old control freak that doesn't get the most out of his QBs (including Brady) in a league where its almost a requirement for coaches to get the most out of QBs. One of the only teams that I thought was a good fit was the Cowboys with an established QB but that option is off the table.

Bellicheck is the luckiest mediocre coach in Nfl history.

It’s because the nfl is becoming more offensive and teams want younger coaches who will adapt not old coaches who are stuck in their ways

Unless you’re Dallas or Philly apparently. 🤦🏾♂️

Not surprised, great coach and terrible GM. He can't be allowed to draft.

The Cowboys were the right job for Belichek but Jerry Jones effed it up

Why is Tannenbaum dressed like Grimace from the old McDonald's commercials?

Could it possibly be he wants to remain GM and Coach? No one in their right mind is hiring him as a GM.

There aren't 20 coaches better than Belichick. Let alone 32.
@robertgray3208 ай бұрын
He hasn't won anything without Brady, doesn't even have a winning record without Brady. You have to ask yourself, is he even a good coach???????????

I don’t know why belichick went to that falcons interview in the first place Atlanta is gonna suck for the next 20 years anyway

Unbelievable, this network needs to fire every single one that is saying Bill is too old and teams need to hire young coaches. You are advocatingr age discrimination and violating civil rights. Coaches dont need to be athletes.

Everyone keeps listing Bills accolades like we don't know them. But they fail to realise that those very accolades are the reason no one is hiring him. First of all every team is asking themselves, "Is Bill still hungry enough to fight for a championship". After all he has eight already!! Like really, do y'all think he's really gonna be that invested or hurt if he doesn't win one more? Not really. It's pay day and vacay time for Bill. And secondly, every coach has his prime. And it's pretty clear Bill is past his. Guys had had ample time to study his antics, style, plays, etc. He's just not that effective anymore. He's still a great coach no doubt. The greatest, yes no doubt. But he's past it. It's time. It's time for him to take on a GM role.

It would totally be like Belichick to retire without even announcing it.

When are folks going to admit that the game has passed Belichick by like the Pharcyde?

Bill probably wanted full control of the team and the owner didn’t want that

Take a poll amongst current players… 90+% would not want to play for him. (..can’t imagine he has good rapport with players or even meaningful relationships with any player..)

Did you not see his last 4 seasons

It’s just the way our society is. This generation doesn’t want a Bill Belichick. They want a players coach but more often than not those coaches don’t win lol

Considering some coaches that get hired its a little ridiculous nobody is even talking to the guy

Agreed. Complete bs. The most qualified can't get hired yet we have the rooney rule. A joke.

Bill isn’t a racist and refuses to bend the knee to DEI and ESG. Just watch the press conference introducing his predecessor in NE…..
