Yep. He's had FIFTEEN seasons of double-digit wins as a head coach. 2023 might be his finest coaching job of a looooong career. What he did with the Chiefs since they lost to the Raiders was amazing. As great as Reid is, I can't help but feel sad for Kyle Shanahan. He had TWO 3rd-down plays that would have ended the game & he couldn't get it done. He had Brandon Aiyuk wide open pre-snap on one but Purdy didn't see him. The other was in OT deep in KC territory & the play he called was blown up.

I agree, what a tremendous coach. I wish he was back with the Eagles.
@RobbieStacks90
@RobbieStacks90 6 ай бұрын
That had nothing to do with Andy Reid's coaching. If anything, if the 49ers were coached properly, they would have won comfortably. I knew they were going to lose when they didn't turn the Mahomes interception in the 3rd into points. The offensive play-calling was horrendous. McCaffery should have had 50 touches on the night. You run him into the ground, bleed the clock, and only throw with Purdy on surprise play-action passes. The defensive coordinator for the 49ers proved that he does not deserve a job in the NFL. His situational play-calling was awful. Mahomes is a great QB, but he looked like he was playing against a flag football defense for the last half hour of the game. A competent DC would have stopped him at least once. The 49ers lost the game more than the Chiefs won it. Andy Reid didn't do anything special.

@@RobbieStacks90 So you validated the exact argument we're making Andy Reid is a tremendous head coach, one of five head coaches with three Super Bowl wins, and they're not done yet.
@RobbieStacks90
@RobbieStacks90 6 ай бұрын
@@Jay953 That doesn't validate him at all. If anything, he coached a bad game. He had 6 seconds with which to score a touchdown at the end of the first half but played it conservatively when, realistically, another play would have only taken 3 or 4 seconds, and Mahomes could have thrown the ball away quickly if there was nothing there. The clock management on the drive that forced overtime was also horrific. A great coach would have won the game in regulation given that much time with all those timeouts.

And what's he do, another adult addict who on Superbowl weekend several years ago thought it was a good idea to drive while drunk, and almost killed two innocent little kids...yes, the kids are alive, but their injuries are so severe, they most likely will never have a normal life... So you should check the facts before saying he's a bad Dad. He has 3 other kids who haven't caused him any grief. He tried to help his two sons, gave them great opportunities with amazing jobs, and they basically slapped him in the face by deciding to throw their lives away by choosing to be addicts... @@MSL220I have been a fan of football since 2003. I have seen players have melt downs due to being taken out or not getting the ball. I’ve seen players throw coolers, I seen players throw equipment, I’ve seen players have shouting matches with assistant coaches, I’ve even seen a player take his pads off and walk off the field. Never in my life would I could even imagine a player getting physical with their head coach on the sideline on national TV. Like it’s very rare you see a player yell at a head coach………. But NEVER ONCE seen them get physical. Players get ejected and suspended to bumping a ref. You going sprint to the leader of the team. A hall of games Coach who’s been to the Super Bowl with 3 teams and won with 2 of them? Never put your hands on your head coach. Imagine how crazy it would be if mahomes called out an audit le and then threw a pick and Andy Reid yanked him up by the facemask to curse him out on the sideline on national TV. That’s just bonkers.

We, in KC, are very happy! We are a small Midwest market compared to others and looked downed upon in a snobbish, childish way by some of the larger sports markets, but our team and city has heart. We support our sports teams 100%. The Chiefs had over 2 decades of taking L's so we are so excited for this time in our franchise history, however long it lasts. We are hated on for no reason but we know how hard our guys play and if you're honest, you can see how they scratch and claw their way to these victories esp since we lose good players each year because we can't pay these high salaries. Yet, Reid and Mahomes make each new group work. Anyway, we are grateful for the Chiefs efforts and don't take any of it for granted. How about those...CHIEFS?!! ❤💪🙏🏼

Told him that we need to adjust better and run different sets. It was nothing personal or serious, we both knew that. He knew that I, and the rest of the team, just wanted to win and claw or way back. People over blow the kelce thing. Andy probably see his son who passed alot in Kelce. He loves his fire and energy. Like he said he keeps him young. He said Kelce came back gave him a hug said he apologized. Your not seeing that footage out there and you won’t

That’s bullcrap!!! If it ain’t the coach it’s Mahomes. Kelce has a few screws loose and if they had lost he wouldn’t have apologize to Andy. I personally think all player should be fined for actions like this. This was no accident, as you can see he bumped him on purpose but grabbed his arm to make it look like an accident. He came full walk at Andy with his chest not stopping or Andy wouldn’t have been moved. That’s beside the the words he said. You don’t talk like this to a coach. Heated or not. This guy has anger problems and sooner or later it will come out. Good Luck Taylor

Honestly, respect to Andy Reid for keeping a level head when Travis blew up on the sideline. He understands the situation his team is in and that emotions are running high. His best player (outside of Mahomes please relax) was out of control and he didn't feed into it and make it worse. He knows who Travis is and what he can do, so he let those emotions run instead of shutting him down. Probably allowed Kelce and the rest of the team to lock in and get the dub. I hate the chiefs as much as the next guy, but Andy is a legend. Can't see another HC having that much patience with a player losing control like Travis did.
