Steve Young has all the credentials to call Russell Wilson out. People act as if he's a 2nd or 3rd year QB. My thing is, what was management thinking? They had 10 years of tape on Wilson and couldn't surmise that his style of play wouldn't fit with the system?! Then you have to look at the coach and management because the coach obviously couldn't switch styles and management underestimated the importance of having a coach who can adapt to a player and alter the system based on his strengths!

As a Denver native and broncos fanatic, I feel Hackett lost me the second I seen him. Had no clue who he was, but just looked weak to me, his face, body, nothing about him says, “I’m a badass nfl head coach” looked super pathetic, I predicted 5 wins cuz I thought Wilson was gonna be better

You gotta listen to the guy that was a player. The Head Coach does create the offense that fits the players. Pete Carroll did that with Russ before he left, Mike Shanahan does that with the 49ers, McVey does it, look at how much better Baker M is playing with the Rams, look how much better Sam Darnold is playing with the Panthers under Wilkes, look at Trevor Lawrence now under Doug Pederson. You can't ignore all those proofs!!!

Young said it & others too. Hackett coaches with rhythm & timing. Helped Rodgers win the last 2 MVPs. Wilson doesnt do rhythm & timing. This experiment was never gonna work. That why Rhypien looked better when he played. If Hackett went to the Raiders instead of Broncos, it might have worked. Bc Carr is a more suitable QB for his style.

Fix the offensive line good enough where it doesn't matter who the qb or the rb are This will take a few years. This should be the goal, not just russell wilson

The OL should have been addressed in the last 2 drafts! If they hadn't traded for RW, they could have bolstered their OL and even if the QB is Lock, just run the ball and short passes, with that defense, they would be a wild card at least this year but nope. Even the 1st round pick they got for trading Chubb to Miami is tied to the 49'ers record. If the 49'ers make it to the SB or win it, the pick is either the 2nd to last or last pick in the 1st round. You ain't getting an OL who could start immediately in the bottom half of the 1st round. You might get someone who could be a starter in a couple of years or so.

What plays? The Broncos FO really blundered in giving RW his own office and a say in the offensive play calling plus he didn't play a single snap in preseason. How are you going to mesh with your receivers in game time if you don't play? Practice is not the same as game time. Both Hackett and RW have equal blame. Hackett was brought in to lure Arod and when Arod re-signed with the Packers, they panicked and decided to trade for RW. The GM's biggest mistake was signing RW to that ridiculous extension when RW still had 2 years left from his old contract. RW can't see the field and is too slow in his progressions. He can't play from the pocket unless the OL is top notch which the Broncos OL is not. You would think Hackett could see that the only consistent offensive success they would have is run the ball, play action, and quick passes. These 3-5 step drops had little to no chance of success since RW can't even see an open receiver in the box and holds on to the ball too long. TBH, the GM should be fired as well since he hired Hackett, traded for RW and signed him to that huge extension. Even worse is that this new GM never addressed the OL issues.
