@@freshstart349 What? He's right. She had a good first quarter and that was pretty much it. Ineffective the rest of the game. Whether it was an actual injury or her just playing more timid, it was over at half time. Too many fouls on LSU players meant they had to sit. LSU also didn't have the energy after their UCLA game and knew they couldn't match Iowa out of the half. Game was over just a few minutes into the 2nd half.

I started watching this Iowa team last March in the tournament. I have seen the "Caitlin Clark Effect" since then and watched every game I could during this season and highlights of all of them. What is evident is the fact that all of her coaching staff and all of her teammates have long since bought into the philosophy of letting Caitlin do her thing, and being able to react to it in ways that create successful scoring, baskets made, and games won. Her ability to see forward, and anticipate things is uncanny. Yes, she does miss a lot, and yes, she does commit turnovers. But look at all the ways she affects the game not only making those circus logo 3s, but cutting inside around defenses in the paint, and off the chain passing skills that her team are finally getting used to!! History has been made by Caitlin, and we all got to see it happen. Congrats CC and Iowa, and I sincerely hope y'all Hawkeyes manage to take home that Championship Trophy as a fitting capstone to an awesome season for the entire team.

Affolter and Stuelke are the only four star recruits on the roster. What Caitlin Clark did, as one of the best HS players in America, is incredible. Usually when a McDonald's All American goes to a non-blue blood he/she either struggles to make the tournament or ends up transferring out, but she elevated Iowa from being a pretty good program to being a brand name in women's hoops.

The best game I ever watched in person was a high school girls basketball game in my 10th grade year. Nashville vs Fountain Lake. Wasnt even my school, but I went with one of my teammates to see the game bc a girl he was talking to played for Nashville. That game was 20 years ago, yet I still remember just how incredible and intense it was. This game tonight gave me the same type of feeling. It was incredible to watch (even though the high school one ended much closer, a game winning buzzer beater in OT- in fact.. there was a buzzer beating halfcourt shot at halftime that became a 4 point play bc the girl was fouled. A buzzer beating layup at the end of the 3rd. A game tying 3 at the buzzer to send it into OT, and a game winning 3 at the buzzer in OT.. it was truly fkn epic).. watching tonight made me miss playing basketball so much. Made me miss going to games, too.

@@dlcrme Our girls team my 10th grade year were really good, too. They were ranked #1 in the state for most of the season that year. They lost in the final 4 in the State tournament that year though (though they have won a few titles since then).. they were much better than we were 😆.. We watched every game. But no game was ever as good as that Nashville game.. even without a rooting interest, it was amazing to watch. But I agree.. the WNBA gets clowned on, but that's bc the same passion isn't there like it is when you're playing for a school (high school or college).. and the high school Sr Girls games were always every bit as intense and physical as our games were. Sometimes even more so.

@@CodyBlaiseactually, it does have to do with the name. Maybe if Angel Reese wasn’t so cocky more people would like her. Clark just happens to embody characteristics sports fans like in an athlete. Humble. Tough. Selfless. Doesn’t put other people down. Being white has nothing to do with it. Think again before you type and send something this stupid.

I haven't watched either of these teams, so maybe I'm missing something, but angel looks like she's just tall. She made some tough shots but I was extremely underwhelmed from the hype. Flaujae is crazy, idk how she doesn't get the popularity
