It definitely was different even if it was a short amount of time. Look at all the HS athletes with hella followers on social media now. That wasn’t as prominent before 2017. There were some social media sensations but a lot of athletes didn’t get famous until the NBA. LaMelo had more followers than a lot of NBA players while he was in HS lol. It definitely was different.

Not cause he didn’t wanna pay or because he couldn’t, because he felt untouchable. Him being caught and exposed on social media wouldn’t do much. Yeah maybe it would be a good punishment for a couple of months at most, but after that, he would probably feel untouchable again. What his dad did was harsh but it definitely worked. Gelo had to get humbled

People still forget that gelo is a top 10% basketball player in the world. He is a g league player, we know he can play international ball and he's right on the cusp of being in the nba. He's still a successful basketball player on his own right. I still think he will play at least one year in the nba. If lonzo and lamelo ever team up, they are going to pick up gelo even if it's just for a 10 day contract
