Tbh he shut me so fast when he joined the NBA and still kept the confidence and crazy pull ups going ... . I only used to hate on him in high school because of how they were put on the pedestal and everyone was hype about him so I tried to find reason to him which was just that he was cocky and that he had a ugly jump shot which he did in HS but he made his shots so it didn't matter until when he changed in NBA because it was easier to Block and so he made it even quicker to release and not bring the ball down so low.... anyways sorry for the essay , just saying younger me was stupid for doubting him but glad he proved me wrong, and dude seems like he has a great personality and can get along with anyone ..

He shoots too much He is fun to watch but he's definitely playing street ball. He shoots three pointers from anywhere at anytime with no conscience. Luka led the league last year with 23 shots a game. He shot the ball 29 times the other night. PG's today all want the Steph Curry glory. He has become selfish to where he's primary goal is to score.

It is terrible the league doesn’t market LaMelo like they should. But I think there are a few main reasons, one being he plays in Charlotte. The second reason and I think the biggest is he hasn’t made the playoffs in his career yet so it’s hard to really talk about him until he gets post season appearances under his belt. The final reason, is Melo really does have to stay healthy & on the court cause the last 2 seasons he’s missed a TON of games. But with his talent & the team doing better to go with his on court personality it’s only a matter of time before they start talking about him nationally cause he’s going to bring an audience

sorry for hijacking your comment to say this. i honestly don't think lamelo is great, yet. he's entertaining, he has a lot of offensive skill but also has a penchant for shot chucking. pundits like him when he's good, fans of opposing teams don't see him as reasonably a top 3 PG in his own conf. the way the team is headed now with owing their draft pick (protected), their goal is to miss the playoffs this year and then cash in on a large chunk of their picks 2027 to make a big move. the team is otherwise unexciting if they don't hit on that draft pick. brandon miller was a hit though. from what we know, the hornets should remain relatively bad for the next 3 years. rn i put trae, brunson, maxey, one of the cavs dudes over him. i know this game's about entertainment foremost but at some point it's about winning. what is he gonna look like when he's only taking 15-20 shots with a second star demanding the ball? will his defense pan out as someone with his size?
