There's also the fact that every team in the league steals signs. The only issue here is that the Astros did it using video. It's not the actual act of stealing signs that's the problem. So it really is more of a ticky tack thing to be bitching about. Honestly I only think it's a story because LA and NYC wanna have an excuse for why they didn't win titles in recent years. Hmm... the drum beating and pitch-tipping should mainly affect the Astro's offense. The fact the Yankees offense struggled in Houston is irrelevant. Still, the cheating happened. Whether or not it made a difference is irrelevant. You cheated. I think the Astros should be punished and the crown should be stripped. Not knowing isn't enough for the players. You should have known. Everyone pays for the cheating by the organization. Be mad at your organization, not the other organizations or the league. This accountability is the only way to clean-up the sport.

Cheating in all domains of society is so widespread and prevalent; it's only a matter of who gets caught, and even when they are caught, there still needs to be sufficient evidence to prove it. If there is not enough evidence, then it will not be proven, no matter what people think. Astros are a symptom of the problem, but not the main cause. Anybody who cheats in order to win without admitting what they did in order to do so is the lowest form of life in society, no matter what trophies or how much money they made. Pure slime and scum.

Tazer recording pregame practices will easily give you the “first 15 script” of any team which is one of the accusations, also they were punished for having a cameraman set up watching coaches call plays during a game against the jets. Knowing what play another team is going to run is beyond comparable to knowing which pitch to swing at.

The defense stays longer on field.. The stressing watching your best pitchers getting hits left and right and getting out in the fourth inning with close to 100 pitches already. Batters would feel the pressure to help their pitchers and would try to connect anything and that's why the Yankees were almost 1,2, 3 outs innings in Houston.
