Maya Moore got away with a lot of offensive fouls when she played. I've never been a huge fan of her game. Sue Bird was a far superior point guard and a complete player. She's the PG I'd want to build my team around. Maya Moore was like Damian Lillard, and Bird was a combination of Steve Nash and Jerry West.

I'm going to add to my following statement that I posted after hearing Staley say you have to win a championship to be great. I think Staley has shown a lot of class...after the LSU scuffle she handled that exactly how a coach should of. She's the best coach in the country no doubt but her statement rubbed me wrong. Dawn Staley just promoting her own brand. To be great you have to win a championship. Where do you go to win championships....you go to blueblood schools. South Carolina, UConn, Tennessee, Stanford, Notre Dame...notice what all these basketball commentators and hosts for the NCAA tournament have in common when saying Clark needs to win a championship to be great - they all come from blueblood schools. GOAT is always going to be debatable but just to be great you don't need to win a championship. I don't like the concept of a college GOAT. 3-4 years isn't enough time to build around a great player so how successful a player is determined by their situation and not their talent. Lew Alcindor might be considered the greatest college ballplayer but was he any better at that level than Wilt, Elvin Hayes, or Pistol Pete? Or was it a result of him going to a better program? Caitlyn could have went to a stacked team and won multiple chips and not be any better at basketball than she currently is. Professionals have the time to either have an organization build around them or find a situation with a supporting cast that enables them to win a championship. College players have to be in the right situation in a couple years or it's a wrap.

Caitlyn Clark is the GOAT of all time as of now until someone else breaks her records. Individually, she makes points, make steals, make assists and she excels in all of three of these areas. However, basketball is a team sport and it takes all 5 players working together successfully to win a National title, therefore, the opinion that Caitlyn has to win a National Championship to be the GOAT is incorrect. Regardless of what happens today, she is still a great player. She has brought more spectators to the game of women’s basketball today than at anytime, thus far. That is not to take away the accomplishments of bb greats, such as Lynette Woodard or Cheryl Miller and many others. Each of these women received accolades during their playing days. We are more aware of sporting events and the players due to many types of social media and many tv stations that exist today. Time marches on and today, all eyes will be on these two teams. Contrary to popular belief Iowa has some killer players around Clark. Kate Martin is a beast with the 3 pointer. Hannah Stuelke is a powerhouse down low. As I predicted, USC would dominate the boards REBOUNDING and win the "in the paint" game. As they always do! The so called "super hero" Clark shot ONLY shot 35% and 5 for13 three pointers. Clark had the most rebounds for Iowa, indicating a weak backcourt for Iowa. She plays at the top of the key and still had the most rebounds for Iowa? The rest of the IOWA team did not elevate at all. Your logic doesn't add up because Catlin Clark didn't only play " maids and psychologists" on her way to the FINALS . UCONN is first class and so is LSU .
