Imagine a Purdy type Quarterback for cheap to hand off to Derrick Henry. The Cowboys not signing a Runningback means Dak is getting paid as a Cowboy. If I ran the team Trae Lance is the Starting QB1 and he hands off to Derrick Henry. And we see how good Lance can be. Spend that money on Parsons, CeeDee Lamb, and adding a Corner or Linebacker to make a great Defense become a Hall of Fame Defense.

My personal theory: Jerry Jones really believed it when he said they were "all-in" last year. Hes knows hes at the end, so he did everything he thought was necessary to win a SB one last time and it fell apart. He held off on paying Dak all that money because, even though he didnt really want to pay that much, he could justify to himself cutting that check after winning a SB. When that didnt happen, all those plans went out the window. I’ll tell you the plan; let Dak go, put in Trey, loose all your games, and pick a QB in the draft. Don’t put in Cooper because he’ll probably win too many games (probably the same number as Dak) and you won’t be picking high in the draft. Everyone talks about Dak and how many games he wins in the regular season, but that’s precisely the problem.

I agree with Stephen A Smith 100%. Also to say dallas has no shot at the playoffs without Dak is an absurd statement. Number 1 you don't know that for sure. They would have way more money to get better players. They could revamp the running game completely and lean on that. If anything is holding Dallas back it would be the loaded NFC. Tons of up and coming teams that have caught up to Dallas with or without Dak. But even if there is no Dak and they don't make the playoffs who cares??? How many times do we have to hear guys on ESPN say that crap. Its a one ane done situation anyways with dak so why would any fan care if Dak goes and they miss the playoffs. At least you could start the process of rebuilding out the roster. They can always draft another QB next year.

As somebody who hates the cowboys I hope they think the same way Harry does. Objectively though, keeping Dak makes no sense. Who cares about making the playoffs every year when the goal is sb and you haven’t even come close. It’s ok to sacrifice a year or 2 and be bad if that’s what it takes to get back on top again.
