Great interview Ken. We will miss Dusty. He’s done great things at FAU and now he will do greater things at Michigan. Good luck coach

Appreciate this interview, you asked better questions than any press conference has, good and direct. And I guess being one on one is better for real answers than a whole field of reporters. The biggest takeaway from this, is he noted his players weren’t the same after last year, perhaps from the fame. They weren’t as cohesive, or team-oriented. So he knew it was probably at least starting to fall apart. And it shows, during this season they played different, there wasn’t that same vibe of someone different picking up the slack every game like last year. If they were doing bad in a game, they didn’t really recover. I do think however, even though he didn’t have a deal or decision in hand before the tournaments, it was on his mind, and his players felt it. And unfortunately that added to the worse play. But this proves one thing, that maybe the portal isn’t so bad, you can return the same exact players, but not be guaranteed they play the same. Typically can only catch lightning in a bottle every once in a while. And of course thats why he had to take the next opportunity before it disappeared as well. It’s not like he won the national championship, but he did achieve an incredible run against all odds. Who knows maybe it can be a movie one day, like Coach Carter. I will say I can tell that decision wasn’t easy, maybe more of a 60/40, than a 90/10, type of decision. Hopefully FAU can now continue the legacy.

Now a weeks later, I'm even more sold on May and his relentless work in the portal, 3 nice scholarship additions SO FAR and he's even stirring up the university by visiting fraternities! He MAY turn out to be a great MI man! 〽️💙💛

As a Michigan fan. I'm not sure how I'm supposed to feel about this hire ? Some of my friends are excited, but I just don't know that much about this guy. With that said, Welcome Coach May.

You obviously don't watch much college basketball if you don't know what this man did at FAU.

The most important detail is whether or not Dusty brings his assistants to Michigan. If Dusty does not bring his assistants to Michigan, then the new HC at FAU has got to be an internal hire. Any outside hire would want to bring his own assistants to FAU, leaving the FAU assistants out in the cold! That would be filthy!

Unless FAU hires an internal AC as a HC, Dusty was an AC before FAU

@davidwright1728 lousiville is a blue blood in basketball but even that has limits ... Michigan has a global brand that goes beyond basketball that block m can get you in the door anywhere football basketball life ... Now ask yourself honestly.. who has the bigger brand ... and listen to what he said the brand of michigan is a major selling point
