Micheal Jordan is the greatest basketball player to ever play, plain and simple. There will never be another Michael Jordan. But, i believe there will never be another Lebron James. He is a freak of nature in the paint and a monster on the defensive end. But he will never pass michael jordan in all around greatness. When MJ went to his away games, he was cheered and cherished. When Lebron goes to his away games, he is booed and almost run out of town.

No you're right but as an all-round defensive/offensive player, he was the best. Although certain players were good at specific things and lead stat charts, example Robert Horry has more rings than MJ but are they better players? He is widely considering the greatest player that lived, he has the majority vote and the votes of the other greats i.e. Magic and Bird. In order to surpass him, you would have to be a better player than him, with as many accolades throughout your career. My thoughts.

And yea you’re right that some in Jordan’s era thought Kareem or Larry Bird or even Bill Russell was the GOAT. And yes I have my own reasons, evidence, experience from the past, research, stats and information to break down for believing so and yes 5 on 5 or one on one I personally believe MJ would win every time if they were to face in the finals but it would be a battle. @@Aviishek. I don’t agree. LeBron is bigger, stronger and faster. He doesn’t seem that defensive minded cos he has to do everything - rebound, assist, score etc. Jordan focuses on scoring and defence. We’ve seen that leBron could defend Kawhi and Giannis if he wanted to so his defensive ability is under rated.
