Gotta admit it helps just a little to have the franchise four time pro bowl halfback (Marcus Allen) moved to fullback for you so that you don't have to run out of single back packages at the NFL level even with that Oakland Raiders line

No sooner than NFL linebackers realized the only way to stop him was to simply get into the backfield because he couldn't juke whatsoever before he crossed the line of scrimmage using his power Marcus Allen was clever enough to realized he had a better shot at a ring under Al Davis's system staying than moving to another franchise. Bo took all the credit just the same.

mike m I would say you underestimating wilts all around athleticism if you don’t believe he doesn’t deserve to be in that conversation. I mean aside for being the strongest guy in the league during his time by far he was also an amazing track and field athlete. Imagine someone that large also being able to high jump a 6’6 pole and also run 440 meter dash in 50 seconds he was a one of a kind athlete. He also had multiple teams trying to offer him contracts in the Late 80,s when he was in his 50’s so that should tell you the type of physical dominance he had in his prime to be still sought after by the very best at that advanced age. And you can easily look up the stuff I said it’s all true and that was only the first things that popped in my head. There’s a lot more he did.

@@mwc1987 best defensive outfielder at that time was easily Devon White, then Barry Bonds. Jackson was average defensively, didn't hit for a high average or walk. He may have developed into a hall of fame baseball player, but he was a long way off before the injury

@@whitedeion598 But, was he getting better season after season and what would that have culminated in as a final product is a good question to ponder. Not enough to get him in, but the sheer athletic talent just two be in both leagues at the time, and the impact he had in his time (before Deion) is something to be considered.

Because of a Physically Demanding position. A lot don't Consider this and feel Bo's not HOF material. I Strongly Disagree. That Stud Barkley for N.Y. Giants will be lucky if he plays 7-8 seasons. It's hard to do in today's world, Unlike the REAL MEN who played from the Inception of the NFL up until and Thru the 70's. There were more than one player who still suited up and started with Broken Bones. Not anymore, or very seldom. I'm talking major bones not a finger, or something superficial. Jack Youngblood played rest of game with a BROKEN FIBULA.

I grew up with Bo and to this day can’t get enough of him even just listening to his current self. I do remember when he got hurt I was so sad. It was the equivalent of someone famous getting shot. The shock and emptiness. But now years have gone by and he had enough highlights in football to make himself a legacy. Yes he could’ve and would’ve done much more but I have fond fulfilling memories.
