No player shall target and make forcible contact to the head or neck area of a defenseless opponent with the helmet, forearm, hand, fist, elbow or shoulder. This foul requires that there be at least one indicator of targeting. When in question, it is a foul. ... Note 1: "Targeting" means that a player takes aim at an opponent for *purposes of attacking* with forcible contact that goes beyond making a *legal tackle* or a *legal block* In short, a player has to be making a tackle, block, or play on the ball. Ok, now that I got that said & over, EXCUSE ME KIRBY SMART BUT THAT WAS INCREDIBLY KIRBY STUPID!!! Georgia is ahead by 3 points & gets an interception with 3:37 left in the game. WHY ARE YOU THROWING THE FOOTBALL? IN A SITUATION SUCH AS THAT YOU RUN THE FOOTBALL! For the very reason that your team showed. You run the ball to take time off the clock & so that you ARE NOT RISKING AN INT. MAYBE & I do say maybe risk a pass IF it's third down & five or six & you have a reasonable chance at getting a first down with a pass. But it also needs to be a "low risk" pass too. The pass Stockton threw that ALMOST LOST THE GAME had to not only be one of the more stupid throws I've ever seen but whoever called that specific play imo was also on the "not too bright" side as well. And as Head Coach, Mr Kirby Smart you have the option to "veto" that play & call something different. Sarkisian & Texas took full advantage of YOUR MISTAKE & it ALMOST costed Georgia another loss in the SEC Championship Game. And if you had been playing a different team, like Alabama, you might have even lost. You had a fairly good running attack. What's the saying? Dance with the one that brung ya? Daylen Everette had an absolutely terrible game in last years SEC Championship Game against Alabama, but man did he sure make up for that this year this the 2 picks and playing some solid coverage on the Wideouts, plus a couple corner blitz that disrupted the play. I’m honestly very proud of him, he’s had an improved szn this year and he’s gonna continue to get better. Great win! GODAWGS!!! 🔴⚫️🐶

Trevor Etienne delivered a memorable comment: "This is why you come to Georgia." This statement encapsulated the intense preparation, high-stakes moments, and the legacy of championship success associated with Georgia football. Etienne, who had transferred from Florida, emphasized that such clutch victories and bold plays, like his game-winning contributions, are what define the program and attract elite talent.

I personally think that, although Georgia would most likely win again, Texas is the only team in the playoff other than maybe Oregon that has even a chance against the Dawgs if they play with the grit they did in this second half. I would love to see them beat Texas again, but I also want to see Georgia assert its dominance over the big 10 at some point this season. They already did that to the ACC.

Kirby Smart’s unwavering belief in his players and coaching staff is what sets him apart as one of the best in college football. His faith in Gunner Stockton, a talented and determined quarterback, and Mike Bobo’s strategic play-calling shows the power of trust and persistence. Together, they embody the Georgia Bulldogs' relentless spirit: never backing down, always believing, and rising to every challenge. It's that belief that turns potential into greatness and ensures the Dawgs remain a powerhouse in college football. In Kirby, Gunner, and Bobo, Georgia fans see the perfect blend of leadership, talent, and strategy. Always believe-because champions are made through faith and perseverance. GO DAWGS!

not a texas fan, but if college had the same PI rule as the NFL, texas would have gotten the ball at the 1 yard line with plenty of time after that PI call near the end of regulation. But as it is, this is not the NFL, its college! great win by georgia.

Well, I'm sad the Longhorns couldn't pull out a win despite how hard they played...But, if I had to give it up to one team that played with a ton of heart, and resolve to win, especially after losing their starting QB a little early on in what was going to be a dogfight anyway, Georgia deserves credit, and especially with how great their secondary was. They're the best overall defense in college football, probably. And, they played like it for all four quarters against the Horns.

4. major points I saw. 1. Tx is sofT. Any time there was a 1v1 the dog won. SEC teaching hard lessons. 2. That Ga Def handled Tx Oline when the blitz was called. HANDLED! 3. Kicker left 6 pts on the field, almost more pts by the near shanks. 4. Between play calling or slow QB, the ball was held way too long or the scheme didn't leave enough to help block.
