Funny thing is when the playoffs selections were being discussed we never seen this guy on ESPN. But we did see numerous ESPN sportscasters trash the ACC, didn't we? ESPN chose to promote Texas as their next Disney push, along with Alabama. And what happened as a result? Both those one loss teams they put in turned out to be Playoffs Chumps. They both got in and lost.

Is it just me or is that stat comparison for dj at Clemson vs Oregon State look almost identical other than the QBR. He really hasn't gotten better. I do not believe that dj will not lead FSU to a successful because he has never been able to win the big game.

@@GodTreGuttaiAMgOd These are DJ best wins as a starter in his college football career. In 2021 he only beat one team that finished in the final ap poll and that was #15 Wake Forest. That same year DJ lost to #20 NC State, #13 Pitt, and #1 Georgia. In 2022 the only team that DJ beat that finished the season ranked was #11 Florida State, also that season he lost to #18 Norte Dame, #23 South Carolina. This was also the season that he was benched in the ACC championship game. Last year (2023) at Oregon State DJ did not beat a signal team that ended up being ranked in the final rankings, however he did end up losing to #11 Arizona, #2 Washington, #6 Oregon, and #14 Norte Dame. So, if you look at DJ entire collegiate career you will see that his best wins are against #15 Wake Forest and #11 Florida State. So, there is a reason that people say that DJ can't handle the pressure of the big game, because if you look at his record against top 25 teams it is just not very good at: 2-9. Now let's look at FSU schedule last year. FSU only ranked wins last year were against #12 LSU, #20 Clemson, and #19 Louisville. Not bad but not great, since none of those teams finished in the top 10. FSU lost to Georgia last year but since FSU didn't have most of their starters, I am not going to count that one. Is it impossible that DJ is going to succeed? No, it is not impossible. But history suggests that DJ is going to struggle. So, that is why some of us hold that view.
