Happy for the kids, they played hard and never gave up. Helton still needs to go. He has way to much talent for them to be playing so poorly. Imagine how great this team could be with a solid coaching staff.

USC vs UCLA was a great game. I’m of the strong opinion that USC should finish in the top 6 of the polls every season. The tradition and I refuse to believe the 25 best California high school prospects wouldn’t live to play for USC. The coeds alone are incentive enough. A vibrant PAC 12 is good for ncaa 🏈 longevity.

Love my Trojans, but this Covid ravaged season does not add legitimacy to USC’s 5-0 record. Nor does it quantify its poll ranking. And because this has been a totally unorthodox season, Clay Helton gets yet another pass. USC’s performance this year has absolutely nothing to do with Helton, but rather Graham’s offensive scheme. He should be the Trojan head coach.

UCLA should have kick the ball in the end zone when USC had 50 seconds left with no timeouts. Instead, they kicked it to USC's kick returner and gave him a chance to make a big play on the return.

Won’t happen this season. Pac12 is trash. USC is back though. Their defense is legit. They gave up some points against a UCLA team that puts up points against everyone in the conference, but USC’s defensive improvement has really brought them back into relevance. They always recruit some of the best skill position offensive players, but when they get a defense to go with it.... that’s when they do special things. Their D still needs to improve though and Slovis needs to cut down on the turnovers, but USC could have a chance at a playoff run next season. Not a chance this season, and I don’t even think USC will have a legit gripe about it either. To need a last minute comeback against UCLA isn’t good. Yes, the Bruins put up points against Pac12 defenses, but they would get dominated by a real SEC/B1G defense. It’s going to take an undefeated, plus uber dominant looking Pac12 champ to make it in the final 4 next season regardless because the Pac12 has really gotten bad over the last 5 seasons or so.

Even with a regular schedule with no COVID the good ol boys from the East find excuses to keep teams from the west out with manipulated rankings and so forth and I’m sure they don’t want to expand the playoff to 8 teams to include every conference champion plus 3 to make it fairer .

@@reubenblanco3021 the east coast bias is actually from national sports media like ESPN, etc. unless the west coast team is a team like USC. The NCAA is a business. If they figured they stood to make significantly more money by making the playoff expansion, they would do it. But why go through all the hassle if you’re only going to net the same amount of money? I agree with the fairness sentiment and the competitive nature of an equal playing field. I think the NCAA was seriously considering the expansion, but with COVID, it complicates things too much at the moment.

ucla has been the better team in every game they've played this year - between mental errors and poor coaching decisions they're sitting at 3-3 versus 6-0. The turnovers in Colorado, the Hail Mary at the end of the first half in Oregon, and every 4th and short - especially tonight. just terrible coaching

The blame always goes both ways. The coaches make the play decisions and the players have to execute. Most times it is the players who are not executing, or making mistakes that leads to losses and or victories. "If we only had Saban", I’m tired of hearing that. Any good PAC-12 team has gotten blown out by SEC teams. USC went down to play Alabama and they were handed the loss; Washington went down there (at one of their peak's), and they were handed a loss; Oregon went down there, actually, they played Auburn twice, and they were handed losses TWICE.

We have to get back to that very aggressive, smart, smothering D. There was a time in the recent past that teams hated seeing SC on their schedule because of the defense.
