Why is anyone surprised? It was super annoying watching Barcelona look to expensive signings to sort out squad short falls yet La Masia exists and was proving it was still producing players perfect for the football system of the club that has hest bred success. Like why are we looking to buy Dani Olmo for over 60m when we need a left winger and a most importantly a defensive midfielder? We also let go of good players while holding onto financial burdens. It absolutely boggles my mind as to why we sold Kessie for 20m and kept 700k a week Frenkie De Jong(whom was being approached by united for 80m) when one guy made an instant impact off the bench while the other still reminisces about beating Madrid in 2019 for AJAX! Now I'm hearing signs of us letting go of Vitor Roque who we JUST signed for 50m and selling Raphinha who was the first guy to show up for Barca in UCL knockouts since LIONEL MESSI.

Hansi Flick is a real manager unlike Xavi Harnandez. The amount of talent in Barcelona is just staggering. Barca do not need much to spend to go back to the top. Hansi flick’s direct attacking playing style is both entertaining and effective. This is one of those seasons where almost everyone is crowning Real Madrid champions especially Mabappe joining but a lot of surprises can happen. Marc Casado and Bernal are two players who could play a pivotal role and that might put De Jong and other experienced midfielder’s positions in threat.

When the season starts i think Barcelona will win the first El Classico in la liga and Real will win the second El Classico in la liga because this will be mbappe first season at real and they also lost Kroos there best passer. Real madrid will need time to adjust to both of these changes. As a Barça fan Im a purist, more like Xavi but even Pep the master architect has evolved a bit. So this talk of style is getting old & overrated. I love to see Barça play well before winning but the style of this team will be determined by the players available. Pep's style to Cruijff was a bit different it might have been the extreme version of our style but it's cause the stars aligned. So even us purists have to give it a rest now. Though 3 main things that are synonymous with us are high press, possession & position. Now whether its 60 or 55 or 70% ball possession doesn't matter. 550 or 300 passes doesn't matter.
