Most casual viewers of this Copa don't understand South American futbol. Chile will always be a worthy adversary of Argentina, as most of South American countries. The level of South American futbol is different and when you go head 2 head with a rival like Chile the game is going to be cagey. The game could easily have been 3-0, but you have the likes of Bravo who saved Chile from a goleada. To expect this game to be a blowout is elementary thinking. Watch the WCQ when you get a chance... and you'll see the level I'm speaking about. No game is easy and even with Peru, and a different line up, the game won't be easy. Argentina dominated with their passing and shooting - but that doesn't mean it will always be a blowout.

I don't think Chile - Argentina is a derby nor classic match, but both squads are well-known when they face each other and regarding the match, there were two controversial fouls that the referee didn't want to whistle and where VAR didn't interfere. Nevertheless, beyond those two fouls, Argentina were better than Chile throughout the match and about Messi's injury, if I were Scaloni, I wouldn't let him play the next match not to risk his physical integrity.

It's so funny to see that North America/Concacaf does not experience real football. It's always great to see both confederations competing because they see that not only are South American teams far better in terms of football but also more attractive than theirs.

Some comments are saying that Martinez saved Argentina😂. I dont think Argentina wone because of Martinez, he barely played just fot that saves, but the saves werent like imposible. As a matter of facts they were stoppable. Argentina struggle because Bravo and the crossbar were the best players for Chile. They almost put the whole Mountain range in the goal zone😂
