If in 5 years (1 year left on his rookie deal) JJ pans out as a QB then they will both be eligible for an extension and they will know what they have money wise. If JJ doesn't pan out at the QB position, then Jets has an out if the Vikings look like they are gonna have to rebuild.

The NFL is making so much money these days that the players agents are smart enough to negotiate in 100’s of millions of dollars. Imagine the pay cut the agents get.

@@JohnnyFarcry I def agree that division is gonna be hella competitive. Even as a Vikings fan myself I'd honestly say All of the teams in the NFC North Have objectively very good rosters. Minnesota won the division most recently prior to last season. And got hit with Injuries hard last year. They also had a lot of uncharacteristic turnovers. I truly believe they either Win it again this year or at least make the playoffs. Because the defense is gonna surprise a lot of people. Brian Flores has been an enormous addition

Kwesi tipped this out in his pre-draft presser saying he wanted Jettas to have a whole month without distraction (FA, draft) to celebrate the new deal like a friend would celebrate their birthday - Jettas birthday is this month. The combined actual cost of Jettas, Addison and Hockenson - last season $11m, this season $24m, 2025 still only $35m.

Its actually a pretty decent deal the Vikings. They are already paying up 88 million up front this year. Next year the Vikings will have more cap space too so the 110 million really isn't that bad with how it structured out.

So once his new contract kicks in he will get 88 million out of that 140 million off the jump in 2024. Then come 2025 where the Vikings will have even more cap space. Most of Justin's contract will already be paid out.
