So when the steelers win it's because of Tomlin and when they lose it's the player? This people don't actually watch the games. The coaching isn't so to par. The game planes have been terrible. Their game plan against the Bengals was run, run, run and Russell Wilson only had like 7 pass in the first. And that's after the first time they played the Bengals they let Russ throw and he went for 400±. Way more times than not they go way to conservative and as a result get off to slow starts and fall behind and that doesn't work against good teams. Their game plans are way to predictable so by this time of year it's easy for high level coaches to scheme against the steelers. They need to take more risk and be more aggressive and creative in their game plans. That's why this 4 game losing Streak has been so bad

So annoying. I appreciate she has opinions, but sometimes it takes away from the fluidness of conversation between the hosts / guests.

7:03 ughhh Ben threw 4 ints that game vs Cleveland tf is he talking about you can’t put it on the qb?
@zellodavis84538 сағат бұрын
Tomlin, with his level of influence, is a part of not having a QB and not having a quality line (which also reflects on his line coach). Part of the QB situation is a Tomlin influence on wanting a vanilla, low risk, offense and trying to win with the D.

Tomlin not leaving this is a crazy take. Man I would love to see him with the Bears though
@jairogers58767 сағат бұрын
I’m a quote her…. “John Gruden has a lot to thank him for that” Tony leaves Bucs, Gruden gets hired and wins a SB immediately. What does that sound like? Cowher leaves Steelers, Tomlin gets hired and wins a SB immediately. ITS THE SAME EXACT SCENARIO! Tomlin is no different than Gruden as a HC. Tony goes to the Colts and wins the SB.
@cwilson321232 сағат бұрын
I see your point but it’s not the exact same thing. Gruden won the SB and did pretty much nothing after. He had an 11 win season in 05 a couple 9 win seasons, way more losing seasons, and he never won another playoff game. Tomlin at least made a 2nd SB, had streaks of double digit win seasons, and while it’s been 8 years since he last won a playoff game he’s at least won 5 playoff games since winning the SB.

Tomlin has been underachieving for years. Going 8-8 with rosters that are built for 10-6 or better is not a flex

Why doesn't First Take ever talk about Tomlin's playoff record?
@TheMetal2137 сағат бұрын
Dan is RIGHT. Pittsburgh hasn’t had big time level QB play in about 6-7 years since Roethlisberger started falling apart and they never got a capable replacement.

Why does everyone make excuses for Tomlin, but grill Mike Mccarthy?
@robertmclean36128 сағат бұрын
A think this is nonsense . But would love to see bengals have a good defence coach cause with burrows and chase there attack will always be good Agree with Dan get tomlin a QB he’s a 12/13 win coach

This show need to dump Molly. She is insufferable and drags the show down.
@jamesforeman77518 сағат бұрын
The problem now is not the QB it's the OC designing the offense around Russ. Getting a offensive line coach that can develop the young line. And getting some WRs. And get a new RB, Najee is not physical
@selaw218 сағат бұрын
I could understand this if the Steelers were not making the playoffs at all, but we're talking about a team that consistently makes it to the playoffs with a lack of talent. Based on their roster they shouldn't even be in playoff contention most years. Good luck finding another coach able to do what Tomlin has done without having a quarterback.
@kevincRz7 сағат бұрын
If memory serves me...the 2014-2020(ish) years for the Steelers were tough because they had an offensive identity crisis with an aging/ailing/underperforming defense, which they were known for. The post Polamalu/Harrison years were rough on them. They went from run heavy to pass heavy (anyone remember the Todd Haley drama?????)

I don’t know why he keeps saying the playoff record since 2016 as if the rosters have warranted anything else. Context is lost upon the talking heads.

I'm tryna figure out when the front office of Pittsburgh is going to start being questioned. Because Tomlin has been given scraps of an offense for years and just told to figure it out

Mike Tomlin is Steeler Nation but when you don't get the important wins out of Playing hole Season's, it just maybe time for some New Blood. He's a Very Good Coach but he might have gotten to relaxed in Pittsburgh.
@armaniesingletary89796 сағат бұрын
relaxed?

Are you kidding me? Mike Tomlin had a first ballot HOF QB for 13 years, a 1st round QB that he drafted for 2 years. And now he has another 1st round pick and another future hall of famer this year. DON'T TELL ME TOMLIN NEVER HAD A QUARTERBACK. He has severely underachieved considering the rosters he has had.

Bro Kenny Pickett Justin fields n a washed Russell Justin should be starting in my opinion but Kenny is not a starting QB he better hope he's 2nd string but idk how u can say he has a QB lol
