"Maybe they aren't as good as we think they are?" Duh. Cup winners have at least 1 elite defenseman, and depth on D, not 2 elite wingers and a mediocre d-corps. Reilly is a great d-man, not elite. They have 1 other top 4 d-man, and 4 bottom-pair guys.

Avs at 3 because of whom they’re playing (put up 22 goals in 4 games against the leagues best defense and a top 5 team all season. Oilers at 2 because of an IMPRESSIVE 1-0 win against the mediocre Kings who can’t score against virtually anyone. Room temperature IQ at best. Yikes.

I think the way the team plays and the mentality of "the core" is their own thing and no matter what a coach tells them, they know better, they make the money, know they are untouchable pretty much and dont give a flying rats butt what a coach has to say to them.. Not defending Keefe at all here, he is pretty trash but I hardly think the fault lay in his lap. It goes even further up the ladder than him. There is such toxicity in the locker room, no group of guys in that environment is going to be a single minded, focused team that has to do what needs doing to get it done. They are all about season stats and accolades and almost to the point of not even wanting to be touched or touch anyone else on the ice LOL its the most disgustful mindset I have ever seen in a group of guys that should dominate almost every single game they step on the ice but.... you have to want to do it, to do it.. and sadly our 9 year experiment is an utter failure, period.

Lets be real for a moment, the Leaf's can't trade Marner without his consent this coming season (no trade clause), neither Tavares, nor Nylander. They need their consent, so it's not that automatic. What they can do for sure is fire Shanahan and Keefe.

Yeah it is I bought ESPN plus to watch the nhl playoffs but guess what you have to have xfinity or some type of cable provider to actually watch the games ain’t that about some shit. Why say you can watch with ESPN plus but still need a tv provider to actually have access to its garbage.
