I don't want to hear anything about pep overthinking He was simply out thought by tuchel and not just once but three times and he attempted something different all three times, It is even more surprising because tuchel didn't really change much and was basically playing the same way with minor adjustments in all three games Pep could have started fernandinho and it wouldn't have made any difference with regards to creating chances, Chelsea bearly conceded any chance even when fernandinho was on throughout the second half Simply put its just really hard to create quality chances against Chelsea from open play, they are just so compact and smart in positioning themselves when they don't have the ball, and pep had no answer to that throughout the three games Tuchel wasn't lying when he said he will build a team no one wants to play against.

The team doesn’t need a new gk, neither defense, midfield is solid-great, and attack will get better with Mason Mount being super good at what he does. Kai has talent and skill and he’s showing it more and more. Timo has missed and been offside but he’s runs are very deadly. Pulisic as a sub is good just because of that energy and dribbling he brings to the team. Ziyech hasn’t shown enough. Also they have Kante who is a runner up for ballon d’or and undoubtedly the best CDM right now. Mendy (gk) has been and absolute beast. Azpi, Rudiger, Christensen, Silva are amazing defenders. With Chilwell being really good at 1 v 1 and Reece James is complete for me.

My thoughts this season. 1. Kante deserves the Ballon d'or 2. Pep can't just help himself with over thinking. 3. Phil foden deserves the golden boy award, unfortunately he was played out of position but still had a good game. 4. Mendy deserves the best GK. 5. Rudiger has been transformed into a beast by his German counterpart. 6. Mason is a very key player that Chelsea must build the team around. 7. Would like to see Pep go to a team that needs work. Similar to how Tuchel improved Chelsea , What Klop did with Liverpool , not teams that are 90-100% built.

Craig is spot on about Frank Lampard. He did very well there in Chelsea until it all somehow fell apart. He did finish them in top 4 the previous season. Chelsea advanced from group stage in Cl under Frank and he had them 1st place until the team suddenly "lost the plot". Under Lampard Mason Mount developed into one of the best attacking midfielders in the premiership.

I disagree, and that’s the beauty of the Chelsea team, Tuchel’s philosophy is so well grounded into the players mentality that it doesn’t matter who plays, the result is always same. Just as Christianson slotted right in without notice, would have been the same way Kovacic would have come in and done the job nearly as good as Kante.

Tuchel tactics works perfectly, the use of James and Chilweal were perfect they don't even give a place to breathe defensively and we're attacking from both sides. Can't Sterling, Meherez or Walker pass them. I think Pep took a chance by not starting with any defensive midfielder , Cause they were struggling in midfeild against Kante. Kante was perfect, even Werner running and then pulisic sub were perfect. If Chelsea were clinical and lucky they could have score 3-4 more. It was a good final to watch.
