Being offensive and saying controversial shit that gets people all riled up is James schtick. He always does this.James was even more offensive and entertaining when he was doing Wowerload, basically a weekly show with Joe, about competetive arena in World of Warcraft. He did WoW stuff for years. He also hosted and did commentary for many arena tournaments at places like MLG and WCG etc. He was very popular actually, by far the preferred host and commentary. You see even Icefrog told him to be himself. Obviously Icefrog knows what sort of stuff James can pull, and the viewers love it, but the problem is sponsors that pay these events do not.

Actually the Chinese dota community has written a long letter trying to explain this. They believed a higher officer from the perfect world was responsible for the poor organization, evidence included the sudden switch of builder/decoration companies, the misuse of hotel budgets for his personal benefits and so on. It would be cool if you can include those too.

Honestly, if you don't have a lot of insight into the scene, don't make videos about it. Most of the points you make about the events are simply wrong - be it the Waga/sing joke, which everyone understood and which is actually true, or the claims about Perfect's World problems being caused by "bad internet". It was simply bad production on all levels and to shift the attention from them, 2GD drama was created. The whiteboards were used because no TV's were given by the production, so we had no "Purge, what can you tell us?" moments with cool arrows and stuff - that we normally have on those big tournaments. The entire drama was manufactured to draw attention away from the worst tournament ever and Valve's fault - they should have seen it coming and done something to prevent it.

what is very worrying is that Perfect World are hosting 2 Minors in in this dota season circuit one of the them starting very soon in the Perfect World Masters lets hope for the best!

If Valve want TI9 to be held in the east then maybe consider Manila again. Good production, players and talents enjoyed it very much, and last but not the least, the unbiased and the BEST crowd ever. If the TI8 finals was held there, my god imagine the uproars and cheers from the whole audience.

Hi dude, thanks for the video, but there is one thing you haven't mentioned that Perfect World changed their leader of Dota 2 after the Shanghai major, and this new guy did very well (DAC 2017, Perfect World Master). I knew they made mistake, but they are try their best to improve, they should have chance to re-build their brand image.
