ESR .. less than 15 mm/hour normal value hai. Aap ka 18 hai to itna ziyada nahi hai. Phir bhi aap doctor se checkup kara le.

@@khadijabatool786 Typhoid fever is a bacterial infection and ESR is increased in infections and inflammation. Once your son is recovered from typhoid the ESR will be normal. 45 ESR is not too much high. But continue treatment for typhoid.

ESR is increased due to infection or inflammation in the body. It can be high in joint inflammation, arthritis or in chest infection. It can be increased in many diseases, it is a non specific test. But it is better to have a medical checkup by doctor.
