Brings me back to a magical summer I spent in 2018 after coming home from basic and returning to a special someone, and the time we spent together before they left to go to college. I never thought the moment we said our goodbyes to them at the airport it’d be the last time I’d ever see them again. It’s been 5 years since that summer and I still think about them. Everyday.

⁠@@RoshOceanicI appreciate the kind words, but I’m not sure it would be a good enough story to tell when compared to the notebook, especially since that story had a happy ending! This one sadly didn’t…We both since moved on and are no longer the people we once were. We don’t always get our fairytale ending. That’s just life, but I would still wish them all the happiness in the world, that’s all I ever wanted for them. I’m just sorry I wasn’t the one to be able to give it to them.
