Hi Jimmy, I've had a Lightroom/photoshop package on my computer for several years now and never used photoshop before. You have whetted my appetite to give it a go. Thank you.

This is super helpful. I’m going to watch this again while in Photoshop so I can follow along on one of my photos.

Why on earth would someone put a thumbs down on such a helpful video is beyond me! As usual Jimmy thanks very much 🙏🤙🤙

Trust me, when it comes to social media a thumbsdown isn't as bad as some of the hate comments I've received over the years. But I have always found a thumbsdown for free (and very harmless) content strange. That's people, I guess. Thanks for your support!

Hi Jimmy! Great video. I was wondering if you also process your images in Adobe RGB, or in ProPhoto RGB. Thanks a lot!

Thanks. I do everything in Adobe RGB at the moment.

Jimmy, I please may add a hint for all concerning the banding you mention in the very beginning: you may switch at any time from 8 to 16 bit and the banding is gone, even if exporting to 8 bit sRGB jpgs, just don’t let you get distracted what’s shown on your screen, depending on display it may always show banding if it’s a low quality one. You may on the fly switch to 8 bit if you need one of the artistic filters, which are not available in 16 and 32 bit mode. After applying, just switch back to 16 bit. Important is: work in Adobe 1998 or better in ProPhoto colour space instead of sRGB during edit. The legacy export as well as Image Converter in the File/Scripts section perform a very decent job exporting to 8 bit jpgs into small sRGB colour space. If you zoom to 100% magnification of the final export, by 99% there will be no banding. - Hope I could add some useful infos.
