I don't know if there are multiple variants of VHB tape but its pretty damn strong and with the one I have you are probably going to destroy whatever is mounted with it if you ever have to remove it.

You mentioned not storing lipos in an air tight container. I have mine in an ammunition can. Is that wrong?

No but I keep the lid cracked on mine. You don’t want a bomb!

those pouches are a bad idea, they give you a false idea about security and if you have more than ONE battery in it, you just turn the bag into a bomb, i've seen this first hand. if you really want to make a mass-battery BBQ, amo-boxes are far more safe and cheaper as well.
