Thanks Krista, I think those water shoes are a must especially if you don't know the landscape of the put in area, most of them are very rocky. I personally like attaching the leash to the life jacket, it helps if you fall off you can kick freely.

Life jackets/leash requirements will vary from place to place so check your country and state laws. Where I am you don’t need a life jacket on a paddle board only if you are leashed to it. When leashed the board itself is considered a floatation device.

Definitely check the local laws. We are in Washington State, US. Regardless, life jackets are a smart choice. 👌😊
