If your talent is wearing a neck tie, I have another way to hide a lav. Remove the mic clip and run the mic through the back of the tie knot so the mic capsule is just barely poking out the front of the knot. Run the cable down the shirt or inside the collar to the back of the shirt. Golden.

I usually drill a few holes in the talent and just flush mount the capsule portion and then run the cable through the skin.

02:45 Rycote undercovers are a waste of money. They do not work. Gaffer tape folded into a diamond shape stuck in between the mic and clothing does a better job.
