Lewis, you demonstrate what's called a left-handed Sheet Bend, where the short-ends end up on opposing sides. While fine for low duty applications, this is a significantly less secure version of the Sheet Bend (by about 34%, according to the Ashley Book of Knots). Better to start your wrap in the opposite direction so the short-end end up on the same side.
