I recently bought the same vehicle. I was having so much fun over a 3 day period, that “I FORGOT TO CHECK AND CHARGE MY BATTERY!” Day 4, I started it up at home. After it warmed up, I hit the Throttle and a NEW EXPERIENCE BEGAN! It hit 30 mph. In less than a hundred feet. Nothing was responding except foot power. It hit a Steel Reinforced Concrete Pot in my Neighbors yard. It moved the pot 4” and cracked the pot enough for the fragments to show the steel reinforcement. I ran so fast that I actually forgot that I even had a Heart! I always check everything now and pay closer attention. I am now waiting for the KILL SWITCH, so I have fewer incidents to worry about. I came over from Flying RC Helicopters but I got tired of the stress of flying and trying to avoid expensive crashes. I took 5th Scale as a BREEZE, but I now realize that I overestimated my self and skills!

Ok so i bought a 2.0 dbxl and while its a good buggy i kinda regret buyin it. Its way under powered even with an olimat pipe. It had a bearing missin off the front diff out of the box..got a hole in the tank and ive broken a couple of shocks. Easy to work on but i wish i hadda bought a fivet...

I bought a DBXLE last year when they were marked down $200. Even at that price i was very disappointed. It's the only large scale RC I've had that i didn't love. I was hoping for a big Arrma Typhon type buggy and it definitely isn't that. I grabbed a SBR 2.0 at the same time and it's been great. The DBXLE is the only non Traxxas vehicle I've ever sold just because i didn't like it. It was either sell or or dump a ton of money on upgrades and make it a 12s monster like Exocaged did. I really wish Arrma would build a large scale Typhon. They have everything they need already except the body. This rig is the only reason i can think of that they haven't. They'd be competing with themselves and i can't see why anyone would buy this if the big Typhon existed.

£400 for rc wheels is redonkulas… I get it but I don’t also… even though you were driving on marbles the truck looked very unstable… fishtailed every turn… I DOnt recommend LOSI but this is their best one yet by looks, maybe tge 5t is the flagship idk… 1-8 is big enough before you get in to problem scales $$)$$

DBXL is an obsolete design. X-maxx, XRT, 8s Kraton, 5ive-T are much more capable vehicles. The DBXL is an underwhelmer unless you throw a monster engine or brushless setup, the angles on the drivelines create failure points straight out of the box, bearings melt the plastic diff cases, it's just a POS for the price.
