Wow!! I feel like I owe you money 😳. ET is in my family, I’ve had internal tremors for 2 years, have a neurosurgeon, neurologist, primary, neuro-ophthalmologist, and have asked again and again and again!! Watching a few of your videos on ET, and hearing you describe so much of what I’m feeling, I cried like a baby, because I’m pretty sure I have the answer now and that is all I wanted. You literally changed my life 😁👍🏼

This has been most helpful, especially the additional issues of difficulty calling up words, focusing, and multitasking. This was new to me and explains much of what I've been feeling my whole life. Thank you.

completely agree you. And it answers so many questions I've had all my life, but didn't know how to ask, and definitely never knew the shaking and the word recall we're related. I didn't even know there was a diagnosis, for this problem. I actually thought everything was my fault, due to my lack of Education and drug and alcohol abuse, but now I see that it's actually the other way around, my nickname was shaky High School, and some of my friends from high school still call me that. And I'm 54 years old now. Well they don't call me that as a nickname they just like to remind me that I'm shaking all the time. As if I didn't know and as if they haven't known for years that I've never been any different. I guarantee I've never heard any of them say wow you're really steady today, cuz I never have been..

Hi Dr Sullivan, I have slight essential tremors told to me by a neuro doc, and internal tremors to which thanks to you I now know what they are. I have those in my lower right abdomen when they occur. It’s a strong vibration. At least I don’t have to think that something is going to erupt inside of me. I also have trouble finding my words and that bothers me something fierce. I am so happy I found you. I am 76. Sending you many hugs as I can’t give you one in person. ❤️❌

I am so glad to hear your lecture. The balance and visual problems bother me as much as the shaking and the neurologist tells me that my ET shouldn’t cause these other problems. The only change in meds that I take is the addition of topamax that doesn’t seem to help yet. But why aren’t the doctors aware of these other effects? Thank you so much, Dave A. I need to find articles to show my neurologist and she is sending me to a neuro optomologist

Hello Dr. Sullivan, I am awed with your knowledge and the way you are able to put it into words that someone like me can comprehend and understand your subject. I love this stuff, including beautiful music. I'm an avid reader; magazine articles, non-main stream newspapers, and you tube videos. My wife Carol of 55 years and I have many wonderful friends with with a multiple health issues including Carol's tremor issues. I'm asking if you'd mind if I make copies of your presentations to give copies to friends who are dealing with these problems in this presentation you eluded that it was OK to share your remarks with others. Thanks so much for taking the time to share a small portion of your knowledge with us. I will be talking to people about you and putting them in touch with your website. In the meantime, I'll be looking forward to hearing from your answer relative to sharing your information with others. Dr. Sullivan, it's been a pleasure listening to yourpresentations😄. God Bless you for being there for others

Thank you. I am 80 and had ET since my 50s. I tell people that look concerned, that I have ET, it doesn't hurt, and it won't kill me.

Thank you!!!! I don't have a history of ET in my family. This is desperately needed information. I've had ET for about 5 years and have become increasingly isolated, anxious and depressed. Information is empowering.

Thank you! This was so helpful. I had not realized before the relation between ET and anxiety and depression. I am trying to gather as much info as I can to help my 18 year old daughter who is also an artist.

I’m an artist too and I have ET. I love drawing detailed drawings but have been afraid to because of ET. I also do photography. How does she deal with being an artist with ET? Any help and advice would be greatly appreciated. I’ve been an artist for as long as I can remember. Thank you.

Thank you thank you thank you :) Finally I found a scientific and reliable information that confirm my thoughts!! Also you reach us all over the world indeed , I am from Tunisia :) It is true that my shivers are mild, but I felt like there are other things along with them especially in the last years like focusing things, switching letters when I type fast and sometimes I don't find the words indeed, I know it but I can't say like you said, but this doesn't happen to me often luckily ). It took me 22 y.o to notice such things because I think either they were super mild before or maybe they show up when the ET progresses not like with it from the beginning. I am happy because even now these things and the motor effect are mild and not bothering me ) But it is good to know that the connection I felt between them and ET is true. This would help me to know the progression of it because in my case I wasn't able to know it is progressing until the last two years. it is good to know more about it and to know that you can watch signs more than shivering to know more about your disorder and about its progression :)

I have just been diagnosed with ET and this video was just what I needed. I had a wow moment when you described struggling to recall the word you need. I get that all the time and I was worried about it. Can memorizing numbers be a problem with ET I struggle to remember four digit numbers and above. I can read a number and need to write it on another device or page and it takes three or more attempts or I even have to break it down to 2 digits.

Is there a possibility children get misdiagnosed with ADHD but have ET? Is there a link with ADHD and ET? Does ET at an early age increases the changes for PD?
@yasminemn23114 жыл бұрын
For internal tremors I felt that there is some weird thing when I don't move for few seconds. I didn't think it is anxiety at all. I thought it is linked to my shivers but didn't understand them so I forgot about them. I mean I don't stay unstable just breathing and focus on them, I just let them be and focus on other things. For how they are? They don't look like shivers.. more they look like if the blood is moving my veins is causing a light movment inside my hand, arms or legs although they are not actually moving.
