ESSENTIAL Upgrades for NEW Accounts in OSRS | Ironman from Scratch (#24)

Bossing is the single most important aspect of PvM in OSRS and a key source of gear upgrades, money making and resource gathering. It's even more important for an Ironman account where you have to gather everything yourself. We're going to take on our first major boss grind on the account - the Dagannoth Kings, in particular Dagannoth Rex to try hunt down a Berserker Ring. Quests also lead to plenty of gear unlocks and we'll be aiming for a Dragon Scimitar from Monkey Madness to go with the ring.

Hey everyone, welcome to my channel. I've been playing Old School Runescape for years and I'm looking for a new challenge...so I'm making an Ironman!
The goal is to do all kinds of skilling, PVM, bossing and collection log completionist content to experience more of the game and build the best maxed ironman that I can.

I'm not too far into the grind because of transportation limitations but at about 70 kc or so I've gotten about 6 uniques and I'll push it further when I get barrows tele.

That's all you can do, slowly chip away bit by bit - 6 uniques is a pretty awesome start. Hopefully they keep treating you well!

On the contrary, your warrior ring and d axe luck has been great! A silly thought, but these are actually independent drops on your way to the b ring. consider yourself lucky for getting that much extra shit and not just the drop you're there for😁 ... Or maybe you were a thousand kills in and would have an average 7 of each by now though....

It has actually been ridiculous. I'm terrified of using all the good luck! There's a dry streak looming, and it'll probably be on some painful grind. Just hope it's not Gauntlet.

A tip for anyone who is trying the X log method at DK's. I prefer to go into worlds where there are 1 or 2 players already in the cave. This almost guarantees that prime or supreme is dead already. Makes it way easier and less risky!

It's a good point, I didn't end up risking it because I was worried about accidentally messing with someone's setup, but it's probably fine to be honest and just makes your own life easier.

A little tip about the final boss of MM1. You can also set up a cannon and let that take care of the boss. I know this because I almost died while setting it up on my HCIM.

I hate you for this one too! I checked your account on Runelite and saw that you had 29 kc on Rex so I assumed you got the ring on that kc... I have now 253 Rex kc and 1 dragon axe and 1 warrior ring...

Rex has like mostly 128/ drops 😂 Actually you could have had the thing you want on any kill (god that looks stupid obvious to write aloud 😂) therefore youtubers should say "that could have been it!" on all kills 😊 ... but what's the drama in that? I don't know how much it's a youtuber thing or for real, but people are super silly about drop tables. there's really only one meaningful division and it's between the thing you want and the rest. Thinking of "subtables" of things at the same rarity only increases pain (but maybe also excitement?) So should we sacrifice our feeble understanding of odds for entertainment? Can we even stop feeling bad about getting a warrior ring even though that's just something extra you got instead of just bones? Even after all this pondering, I don't know if I can. thank you for coming to my ted talk

Nice Ted Talk, you're 100% correct, people are weird about drop tables and every kill 'could have been it' haha. I don't think it's KZbinr thing exclusively, I reckon most people just have that irrational thought process in their head around how RNG drops work and, in fact, most people probably genuinely just don't understand basic statistics. The drama is half the fun of the RNG loot grinds though, I don't think we should sacrifice our feeble understanding of odds for entertainment! 🤣 A warrior ring will always suck (not that I would know since I didn't get one :D )

For the dks u can bring your main account and kill supreme and prime at the same time then bring your Ironman down to Rex safely. Just a tip, nice vids love 'em
