After the 8th or 9th chord change, you lost me, and I've been playing for 50+ years. There's other easier ways to play this. Besides, it's how well you sing that makes or breaks this song. Don't get me wrong, you played it beautifully but would perform it live this way?

You are right there are a lot of chords in the song and a simplified version would be just as effective.
