It's so cool to see Patrick Bartley and Russel Hall performing then vs now. Crazy how good they were then and how much better they've gotten since then. From great to amazing!

The group at TJI from 2013-2018 + Doug Tidaback (director) was unreal. I was in one of the lower bands at the time and it was amazing just to be that close and watch/listen to them everyday
@goldenpooper43265 ай бұрын
I am glad someone recognized this. I am just a 20 year old from California but I am so fascinated by TJI's dominance at this competition during those years, escpically their 2013 group which was imo one of the best. Wish I could have been in your shoes and seen them live. Btw do you know what happened to the director?

Way late to the comments and this may never be seen… but I grew up with Sam in AZ and we decided to both play the trombone in 5th grade. After being second chair behind Sam from 5th-9th grade I decided to call it quits. All these years later combined with a better appreciation of his greatness, I find comfort in knowing I wasn’t delusional for thinking he was miles ahead of me 😂
