Slow flying so maybe even better with WW1 warbirds Cliff. Slower they go the easier to stay close.

@@EssentialRC Extra wing in the way unless you mount your camera up top. For Visual/on ground flying, WWI planes would be cool to watch, especially as the pilots can get them that close and keep formation but for the pilots, I like having the top of the plane and wing in view, like you have here, for reference and like anyone with a bubble canopy will tell you, a clear view of as much sky as possible.

Too Close? I used to fly RC Combat. He still has some string left you can trim. I haven't kept up with the FPV progress, (jeeze, I barely get to fly and that's just because I have a couple of Volantex planes I can use in front of my house). I know people have head tracking, it looked like you have a switch shifting camera but is there anything software wise with the new 360 cams that will let you look through the 360 cam while not having to physically move the camera?

😆 We did actually mid-air on a later flight. Was a spectacular tangled pancake landing with very little damage.

The lead plane (me) has head tracked panning but the reality is you don't use it much when leading. Regarding your 360 cam, it's a no. Doesn't support FPV in realtime. You can create an MP4 video afterwards that would simulate the movement of a field of view within that 360 degrees though or upload the full 360 video and let the viewer change the view as they want when playing the video.
