Lucky not to snap the foam behind the motor mount Dom. With only 1/2 the foam there due to the battery hatch and the extra weight of the brushless motor/solidly mounted prop, these really need a bit of reinforcement there. Carbon or bamboo would work but best would be flexible plastic which would move with the EPP. All these little QIDI and FX planes coming out now use the FX 9630 protocol. (Or a DSM or S-bus satellite receiver.)

Even without added supports this plane handles crashes better than most planes..i would fix using Ca an CF myself..but theres many easy ways to make it stronger.

Do you know rx i would need to buy to be able to fly this using my dx8 radio..i see several small receivers,but they all have 4 extra ports for connecting micro servos...not sure they would work,since i never tried this before...pretty sure i just plug rx into dsm port .thanks

@@roadstar499 CA (and epoxy) work as adhesives but are not the best for use on flexible EPP since they are completely rigid. A thin coat of hot glue works well (and tends to burn through any mould-release compound left on the foam) but the best are contact cements or rubber cements. They stick like the proverbial to a blanket and flex with the foam. The toluene in them won't effect EPP but keep it off the paint - and don't even think about putting them anywhere near EPS! 😉😊

I would love to see how that flies indoors- looking out for and forward to that video. Thanks so much for providing a discount code.

switch 3 positions, for what? How should it be installed and for what flights? What will the flight be like at 1,2,3, switch positions? Your recommendations please! What is the Function keys button at the top left for? What does it include? Is there a program in the remote control and when the button is turned on, the model itself performs a flip?

Does it have an on & off switch, on the aircraft ? ... Or does one need to always plug-in or unplug the battery ?
@EssentialRC4 ай бұрын
No switch. Even if it did you should never leave the battery in it. It would lose charge and drop below minimal voltage after 2 or 3 days
@smesui17994 ай бұрын
@@EssentialRCOf course not. I simply like the convenience of a switch for temporary off when sipping a cup of tea between flights. I always bring my thermos with me. 😊

I'm using 6G mode and the plane is uncontrollable. Then do somersaults. What is the cause?

can you bind qidi-560 maule m7 to the radiomaster?

Very nice plane and also cheap ..

That radio makes noise every minute its on...just count the beeps and no need to worry about flying to long.
@EssentialRC7 ай бұрын
Yes. Suspected that's what it was. Hoping can turn it off. 😉

You can cut speaker wire..but you will have to be a radio genious to turn it off only when you are flying..

Well done! I've flown mine a couple of times and very durable with good power power for a 1S system. Lot's of fun. Nice hovers you performed there ;-)

That sounds rough what is the buzzing noise?...mine is virtually silent...also added 5gs of nose weight to mine...
@roadstar4997 ай бұрын
Why the added weight was cog off? Or are you using a bigger battery? Thanks
@ninehunnerdriver7 ай бұрын
@@roadstar499 I am using a bigger battery 600 & 750 mah 1s but yes I felt CoG was off not noticeable in stabilised of course it corrects but when in manual found it improved stability no end! I did put some small guides in for elevator n rudder links as mine where flexing excessively, but they were tiny little metal hoops so shouldn't have affected too much. I have 2 of these (thanks ground control) first I moved the rear wheel and embedded it in the rudder...acheiving a steerable-ish tail wheel! I bow to the other way more experienced people than I but do you think it looks a little tail heavy in the video?

Cool i actually have 3 650 1s packs..did tou have to dremel battery compartment a little? So in manual mode it flys well now using stock radio?Anyway thanks for the tips..😊

His prop most likely is out of balance or motor is not tighten down to mount etc..or hes got a crappy motor..
@ninehunnerdriver7 ай бұрын
@@roadstar499 I found that with careful manoeuvring the battery put in with lead towards the rear front corner down then it will just fit inthe bay, when in carefully, it will actually just slide all the way forward so the front edge is against the bulkhead. I also enlarged the holes in the battery cover flap slightly so I can feed the battery lead out and the power lead to the plane through the battery hatch, then I can plug the battery lead in and unplug without even opening the battery hatch.
