When making electronic-based genres, my sample library was built-up over the last 15 years from many different sources. I'm very picky about drum samples! Have you seen my "Realistic Drum Programming" videos?

@@maxkonyi it's clear, the quality is just very high, 👏 Not yet, I will check it right now, but if you have some recommendations about drums kit sources please feel free to share whit us 🙏🏽

@@MyKhalilovic Start by searching for free kits. I'm sure there are big threads on Reddit that list good free kits. Splice is a great option. Get your hands on a lot of samples and then take a day or two and start deleting everything you don't like and organizing everything else very well.

What is 'Normalize Audio " (Alt +N) in studio one..It is necessary for vocal...

Normalizing an audio event increases the volume of that event as much as possible before clipping occurs. It takes the loudest peak of the audio waveform and puts it up to 0db. This can be useful in some situations but I rarely use it.

i do find it a bit confusing how when representing the different perceptions of the same hihat loop, the tempo changes. not in S1 itself, but the loops are not a perfect bar (in S1) anymore. not sure how much this counts or what it is i'm missing?

Good eye! Due to the way these examples are created, I'm able to keep the tempo constant to achieve the effect. Feel 2 does not line up with the bar structure but I'm using the subvisions of this tempo to imply another tempo. I'm not trying to teach how to do this in this video but just demonstrating the effect of the beat on a particular rhythm. The effect is actually achieved by using odd-number groupings of some division (like 8ths or 16ths) and then calling that the beat.

@@maxkonyi appreciate the reply! i'm not sure i completely got how this technically works. to me feel 2 sounds like a slower 4/4 rhythm with a triplet feel (if that's how you say it). i'll come back to this at some point
