Might be some dodgy signage and markings, 8:17 shows straight only on the road.

replying to my own comment as i've done some research and it must be a worn out arrow I spotted at 8:17 because google maps shows its a left from that lane all the way down. got to own up to my own mistakes.

The roundabout out of Wickford where the BMW went left lane to middle lane, that is the way that roundabout used to work when I was doing my lessons. At some point they changed it but tonnes of people still do it the old way so I always stagger there just in case.

At 8:06 you drive past a sign that shows that the taxi did nothing wrong. A taxi doing something correctly is probably equally worthy of inclusion though.

As per other comment at 8:17 it shows a straight only arrow so may some confusing signs/markings to be fair on the taxi

Just from the vid. Some of the cars at the RAB seem to be in straight on or right turn lane to turn right.

RAB? Roundabout? if so which clip (timestamp?)

Typical excuse of lane hogger... Roundabout is not far of. You keep left lane unless overtaking. You change lane on approach to roundabout some 150 yards before if no traffic. The two cars were correctly proceeding driving in the most left available lane - lane 1

Lane hogging is being there for no reason, if you need the lane for an impending exit then it's planning ahead. Your interpretation of lane hogging is too black and white, the world doesn't work like that.
