I'm enjoying this vacation/resort collection!! I haven't bought any Essie in just about a whole year -- they simply were not putting out shades that were my cup of tea. But this collection has so many bright, light colors that really speak to me. I can just picture Mrs. Claus, on vacation with Santa in Florida after Christmas -- and she's wearing these shades as mani's and pedi's while lounging poolside or at the beach!!

I think that the idea of this collection as a "Winter collection" was a nod to those who live in colder climates and take a one or two week trip "Down South" during the Winter months. A lot of people here in Quebec, Canada do this every single year! Not me though, I'd rather put my extra money towards my children's college funds, but a lot of people here splurge on a family trip to Mexico, Florida or the Caribbean to make the Winter seem more bearable...

I liked almost every color. Usually watch once and then watch a second time and keep a list of collections and which ones I liked the most. Then if I'm out or online the list is handy and I don't have to rely on my memory. ❤🎄

This is a strange collection, I’m not ready for spring and summer colors! If you take away the medium pinks and replace them with turquoise colors I feel like you could name it “Jess’s Basics of 2012,” because these look like all my old favorites. Though, for that reason, I have a lot of polishes that look similar and I might just get the yellow or the light pink that probably has a formula that is 1000 times better than Mod About You.

I feel like Essie has broken that broken record they were on for a few years there with the repeat shades every season. That said, none of these are season appropriate. But, I won't lie, I want a few of them.
