I’ve had mine since 2009 and it has ruined years of my life! My daughter just had hers taken out a couple of weeks ago. She used to have headaches, body aches, heavy bleeding, and the pain was so bad she used to pass out all the time. Been to different hospitals and most Dr.s would say they have never heard of it. Don't understand why Dr.s would put them in but couldn't take them out. Anybody who has them please get them taken out. By the way it aint cheap for removal...🤦‍♀️SMH

I called their office they want over $7000 to remove it and said insurance will not cover it. I called another doctor in NY and they said insurance should cover it if you have had complications and need it removed. I don’t want more babies, my Essure has shifted I need it out for my health!!

If you are having problems from Essure and you can find a doctor to remove your tubes completely or remove your uterus then insurance WILL cover Essure removal....but you also will need to make sure the doctor has some experience removing the devices so they don't fracture. If you want Essure. reversal to become pregnant (this involves a special procedure to reimplant the tubes) insurance WILL NOT cover that procedure.

I'm 37 I had the essure implant after my baby was born in 2015 I didn't want any more kids do to a marriage failure. I almost instantly started having complications with it. The length of time the Essure has been in is not important...the difficulty of device removal is the same. We have removed Essure from women who have had the device for 20 years and that surgery was no different than removal from women who have had the device for 1 to 5 years.
