Did “sinking” the pond have a positive effect? We’re erecting a 33’ and want to take imitate if effective. What recommendations, if any, for installing in an ICF build in Maine?

Sinking the pond can make the pond easier to access. We do not recommend sinking it any more than 1' so it does not impede the solar gain. The exposed black sheet metal allows the sun to "charge" the thermal mass of the pond.
