Nice job as usual. I am doing something similar. About 4 inches of so called top soil with the rest sand and rocks with trees and tree roots. Found a bunch of garbage buried. Everything from bricks to beer bottles to pieces of an old foundation. Glad I bought a riddle bucket for my 040-4. It is becoming one of my favorite buckets for trying to save useable soil.

I have wondered how well those buckets work. I wouldn't mind trying one out. Just what I need is another bucket 😉

@@jeramyreberpuredirt7873 In my opinion for what its worth it works great. Fill bucket about 1/2 full, shake it a little bit as you are raising it up. Most of the dirt and sand falls through and you are left with tree roots, sticks, rocks and what ever else was in there. With the amount of soil I have saved it has easily paid for itself. I wish I would have bought it along time ago. With the amount of yard work that you do, it would save the customer a lot of raking time to finish it up. Just add it to the price of the job if they want it done.

The are hard to get. I ordered mine from Mason Tractor here in Georgia took about 6 weeks to get. Unit and install kit comes with everything you need to install. Took me about 4 hours to install but it works very well a real time saver.

YEP! It's always that one root on the back where you can't get to it, and then comes that welcome "Snap!" You holler in success... "I've got you now, you SOB!" Considering I've got a 3,000# advantage with the 057-4, you do a hell of a job with that mini! Nice job, Jeramy........

You operate the thumb alot smoother than I can, do you have your thumb hydraulic flows set wide open? Or are they throttled back some?

Hey thanks for the video. I was fortunate enough to trade up to the kx40 with the 6 way blade like you have a couple of weeks ago. I lean heavily on your videos and experience to better operate the machine. My question is do you ever run it in eco mode and if so under what conditions. Thanks again and looking forward to future videos.
@jeramyreberpuredirt7873
@jeramyreberpuredirt7873 Жыл бұрын
No I don't ever use eco mode. I tried it for about 30 minutes on my first 040. All it does is throttle the machine down to a lower rpm and make it slow. I would rather burn more fuel and be productive. Thanks for watching, I really appreciate that people are enjoying my videos. You have a wonderful weekend.

I'm looking at the kx040 vs kx057 for general use on a larger farm property. Do you find the kx040 sufficient? Any regret not going larger?
@jeramyreberpuredirt7873
@jeramyreberpuredirt7873 5 ай бұрын
I have run both. I honestly like the 40 over the 57. The 40 is a faster machine. But they are both great machines. I have added a new KX-080 to my fleet, and it is amazing, but it's very expensive. But I still use the 40 much more than the 80. Hope this was helpful. Thanks for watching and have a wonderful evening 🙂

@jeramyreberpuredirt7873 thanks! I'm just nervous to think I would have wanted a more powerful machine, but your videos ate definitely demonstrating the kx040 capabilities. Thanks!

U don’t have to tap the outer edge to keep from washing
@jeramyreberpuredirt7873
@jeramyreberpuredirt7873 Жыл бұрын
It shouldn't wash out, I ran my track over it and it pushed in fairly well. It was starting to get a little soft from working it so much. When it finally dries out enough to put gravel on I will give it a quick dressing up. But that material doesn't seem too prone to wash out.
