Hmmm... I wonder, can you give an example? I believe non-profit is a bit of a misnomer. There must be at least some gains involved if not a profit for the organization to survive, let alone grow. It just means any profit goes toward whatever the organization's "cause" is, after deducting all the costs of running/operating the company. Please, anyone correct me if I'm wrong here. I'd like to know for certain as well.

Generally no, the actual development company that runs the active business will not be a non-profit.
