Establishing Our Domicile In Pahrump!

We traveled once again to Pahrump, Nevada and this time we were successful in our preparations to establish a domicile there. We contracted with Mail, Messages and More for our mail forwarding and then rented a space in the SKP Pair-A-Dice RV Park for 30 days. This is neccessary to meet the statutory requirements for establishing residency in Nye County - where Pahrump is located. We really like it here in Pahrump and look forward to having this town as our new home base. Thanks for watching and be sure to Subscribe!

I established a domicile in Pahrump without using an RV park. I got a mailbox (same place as you guys) then went to one of the places that helps homeless people. They filled out a form for me to take to the DMV. My driver's license has the address of my boondocking spot. Up near the DMV & Sheriff's office on Basin.

Thank you son. We have a long way to go to get it the way I want it, we still have no TV or stereo yet... lol. Everything in time. Right now we are focused on getting out of the apartment and learning to live in the small space. Also we will install enhanced overload springs to alleviate the "squat" in the rear of the truck. We will go there after we get our domicile permanently established here in Pahrump. We have to wait until the 30 days is up, then go to the local DMV for the new truck registration and new Drivers Licenses. At that time I will transfer the truck insurance here also. After all that is completed, we are free to roam. Probably early in February. I am interested in upgrading our solar power system. I heard there were some good shops for that in Quartzite. Why domicile in Pahrump and not in Vegas where you are from?

Hi Chris. A lot of reasons, but the main ones are lower insurance costs and no smog checks are required. There is much less traffic to fight, short lines at the DMV and much less crime. People are nicer and more laid back. Thanks for watching!

Thanks for the reply. Moved from So Cal to Carson City, NV (where we are currently domiciling) for the same reasons. Lower cost, no smog on vehicle, etc.. Just got back from a 45-day trip back east (Tennessee) 16 states over 6600 miles. Our daily average cost all inclusive was $129.00 per day. Fuel was a killer. Found that Alabama was cheap and beautiful. Enjoy your travels, and we will follow along!!
