Kova has been decent though this season. His workrate has been improving as well game after game. I think he'll be played in a double pivot with Nico, at least at first, instead of being replaced completely.

He’s more of a rice or gundo type player. Much less defensive than rodri But that’s not a bad thing. I think him and rodri behind a 10 is a really good midfield

Gonzalez - Kovacic - Nunes/Bernardo Somewhat left field configuration, but could give us a lot of energy in midfield which is what has been lacking the most recently. Quality wise maybe not City's historical top, but for sure enough to match 80% of Prem midfields

Arne Slot has picked up from where Koop left, using academy players. Pep just doesn’t trust them for whatever reason. Rico Lewis is just not there. McAtee just needs more game time and he’ll do well

well considering he’s 4th choice currently in his primary position (savinho, foden + marmoush all playing ahead of him at LW) and that’s not taking into account doku who is also ahead of him but currently injured, i’d say he has no chance playing in midfield, given his current form

When Rodri joined, now and then you'd see the player he would become, for example the away game vs Burnley he put in a 10/10 no.6 performance. It took him some time to know the role and not to vacate his zone so much. When it looked like we were going to sign Jorginho, I was arguing we should be going for Rodri as he has all the tools necessary. I see many of the same tools with Nico. Time will tell...

I think we have to start mentioning the elephant in the room .... As much as Pep is a genius ,,,, i think he might be a narcissist and egotistical. Letting fantastic players go, Palmer larpote alvarez many others ,,,was a big mistake we are now spending almost 200 million for those mistakes. Someone who has an emotional connection with the players is needed in peps team ... Assistant coach right now doesnt speak English, it gets tricky to gell with thė players emotionally where they feel needed.
