For me I would play Khusanov at right back right now. He is very quick and a great tackler. Not sure about going forward but I am sure we would help shore up our woeful defence.

Agree with a lot of this - the lack of magic thing is frustrating because we do have players capable of playing passes outside of KDB; for some reason it seems like one of the 8s (foden for example) is sat super high almost next to our striker, not dropping back into midfield and just doesn't have the space to play Just don't see it with O'Reilly tbh, think he's only getting a look in because of the state of our squad currently. To be misplacing simple passes and looking clumsy on his debut against United is fine, but to be doing the same things 6 months on against League 2 & League 1 opposition? think he should be moved on with a buy back clause tbh. Trust me! I’m 58 and can remember City losing to Blackpool at Bloomfield Rd. Prem teams set up differently and often struggle to lower league teams. It is not a reliable indication of how good/bad we are.

I disagree with the spark thing especially in regards to Foden. He still tries to make things happen but watch the game again, how many times does he actually gets the ball in those dangerous space? My United Brother in law watched the game for 15 minutes and he spots 2-3 times where Bernardo didn't make that slightly risky pass during a counter attack that would've put our attacker in amazing goal scoring positions. Instead Bernardo would either make a back pass or switch the play to Grealish and slows the game. What I'm saying is, Foden, just like most 10, need the ball on their feet. If you don't give him the ball, they literally can't do shit

Wow, do think you've gone OTT on Khusanov, watched it back too and I'm of the opinion he could really cost us but I'm hoping that's just him taking time to bed in. The basic cross field ball, he handballed too but got off with it. City have obvs done there homework and fingers crossed he comes good when he settles in. I’m a City fan of 50 years. Most of the time I watch so called experts analysing City games and wonder what game they were actually watching. Your analysis is always spot on. Khusanov looks a player. Strong and aggressive yet confident on the ball, and super quick. He has real potential. Nico Gonzalez also made a positive start. We looked so much better with someone who understands the DM role. There was a bit of Rodri about him. Working with Pep should develop him. I think he’ll prove another good buy. Pundits are all talking us down. I disagree. With the new players and most of our players back from injury discount us at your peril.

I personally believe that Khusanov is excellent, but his style of play might be risky against players like Vinicius (highly technical players with outstanding dribbling skills). Reason why i didnt share my Man City top 5 of the last game, ahead of Real Madrid.

Gundogan on many occasions saw the runs of the forward players and you could see him consider releasing the ball but never did. It feels like he’s scared to take any risks nowadays. On a couple occasions during the game you could see Marmoush and Foden look almost annoyed of his hesitancy.

Brother relax. Pep's system is really demanding. Even established players such as Jack Grealish needed over a year to get into the flow of the system. This has been a perilous time for the team. Do we really think two years ago, Pep would throw in a fresh young player into the team like this? I think it'll be really hard to salvage this season but as Pep gets the pre season going and the players get back into the team again, MCI will fight back. For the 8 years that Pep has delivered us success after success, as fans we must stick with him in this harsh times.

Mate, I totally agree. I feel we have added some great new “long term” talent. However, the position we find ourselves is, we really need to add a couple of ready to go ,tried and tested quality player’s in two/ maybe three, areas of the pitch. These being a top quality right back, who could double as a left back if needed. Im talking about a player who can play in the number 6 or number 8 role, a bit like we have now with Nico, but someone who is used to top end , big game football. And lastly, a world class winger, someone who can take on their man, like we had with Mahrez. Someone like Musiala. That said, I sadly also think we need a new number 1, as I think Eddie may leave us in the summer, and I don’t think Ortega is quite good enough for us, long term. His shot stopping is ok, but his distribution is no where near what we need.🩵
