Wow that is the first we have heard of Elktoberfest. The calls are quite interesting. That was one heck of an Italian meal it inspired me and added to our shopping list today! Thought we could smell it through the television. Mika is a good little hiker! 😊 she is doing great. Miss you guys safe travels!

We were in Estes Park the end of October. What a beautiful area. Our dogs were off leash as well as there was no one around. Great hiking, scenery and the wildlife. We will be back although it is a long way from our home in Ontario Canada

It really is beautiful. I am sure it was chilly there that late in October though. Yes thats a ling drive back to Ontario. Thanks for watching and commenting.

We love small town festivals. It’s always nice to see wildlife we get deer 🦌 in the backyard. We love cooking out side at home and camping why does food taste better when you cook it out side. When we did have dogs we didn’t have our dogs 🐕 on a leash and never any problem. Thanks From Wisconsin and hope you have a wonderful Thanksgiving 🦃🍽🍷🍁

We enjoyed this one so much, Estes Park is 610 miles from KC and we have made the camping trip there many times. BTW the Chapel you guys were at was visited by the Pope back in the 80's

Wow...did not know that...such a beautiful place. Estes Park is so beautiful!!

This is really amazing! We have never heard of this area. How was the Elk Jerky? Beautiful fall colors and neat brick chapel. Oh YUM. Capers, mushrooms, mozzarella, garlic, oregano, chicken sounds delicious! You need to start recording you Pam when you cook. 😊 The trail seemed intense in the heat. If there are no people, and Mika is really obedient, I don't think it hurts to take her off leash. - Jim & Michelle

Estes Park is awesome.....the Elk Jerky is always good. Yes need to record Pam cooking more...the good news is she uses the smoke detector as her timer. Haha.no not really...she makes awesome meals as well. It was not hot temperature wise...but the sun at those elevations is intense.

Very nice video, the elk and the trees in full color was beautiful. Ken can we get that recipe please it looked fantastic! You might better keep the camera operator I believe she does a great job most of the time! I’m sure Pam is an excellent cook too.

Such a beautiful place that time of year. Recipe is ( I don't measure...I wing it haha). Cooked Chicken ( or Shrimp etc) Can of Artichokes, Capers, procciutto or pancetta, Garlic...you could add mushrooms, sun dried tomatoes, roasted red peppers, pepperoncini or whatever like. Butter, Olive Oil, Provolone cheese, mozzerella, salt, pepper, oregeno, basil. Viola!! Bon Appetito. Happy Thanksgiving.

Great video! Nice seeing the herd of elk and seeing them all run. They must have gotten spooked. Nice Elkoctoberfest. Nice heard of that. It was in the 79s here today. It was nice and warm until it got windy and cooler. Dusty too! Ken your food looked good! Where’s mine? lol! 😂😂🤣🤣 That was funny with the camera with Pam saying you were too tall. You both are funny! Meka is a trooper with the hiking. It’s beautiful there. Love the leaves that turned color. Hope you have a great weekend and week and have a Happy Thanksgiving! 🦃🍁

We are guessing the town might have done the fireworks on purpose to have the Elk move out of the area during the festival.
