As a trained archaeologist, who likes skin care, I know that raw food held back human development. As humans learned to cook with heat, our brains could develop. Through cooking, the body can assimilate the nutrients in the food than in the raw food, where most of it wanders through our system and comes out unused. This can be seen in archaeological finds from the history of mankind.

Maybe don't pop a paracetamol after you've been drinking a lot (and generally, don't drink alcohol excessively) to give your liver a chance at working properly. I have Crohn’s disease and Crohn’s disease. Diet restriction is stressful and can be emotionally damaging. I’ve gone no dairy, no corn, and of course no gluten. I was the literal devil. My body need fats and Protein and i love corn. If you can eat these things you should. I have no clue who chooses to not eat pastry. If the world was ending tomorrow, I would be eating all the foods I can’t. It’s not worth the lose of health and the loss of time and living. So I follow my restrictions. Also, I can’t have gluten in any of my products. Which can be tricky. Lip balm sent me to the er. I don’t know where this rant is going. I think it’s, enjoy your life as long as it doesn’t negatively effect your life. Restrictions aren’t always good. That’s all.

I completely understand. Crohns is the devil. Can’t eat large amounts of fats, sugars, onion, garlic, tomato, corn, not being able to absorb nutrients properly. But we have to live in such restriction to avoid information. My poor father has had over 1m of bowel removed and had 3 bags and has also been through cancer from his crohns meds. Thankfully 10 years in remission, and the chemo has seemed to tame the crohns too. He is such a strong man and he gets me through the tough days. It truly has to be a mind over matter outlook 💜 I hope everyone knows how beautiful food is, and to have the opportunity to eat all of it!!!

I don’t smell but I watch my friends eat and I gently demand they eat tasty things so I can watch them. It’s food porn. It’s weird and I’m fine with that. You are going through also. But your attitude is great. I hope you have loved ones around you. I can’t live like it’s my last either. I have to make careful choices today so that I have choices tomorrow. @Banix16 it looked like because of the 'balm' texture it would spread very well and it looked like she used enough. Cass - I agree that eye creams are overpriced moisturizers, but I think: 1: They were a 'thing' when moisturizers were mostly basic, and only 'anti-aging' existed as a shady beauty line for older people 2: The formulation might be specific to reduce irritation in the delicate eye area, maybe additional soothing ingredients, especially if you're using moisturizer with actives which may be harsh for some eyes

Not everyone pays attention to most of the crap Hollywood churns out these days, and not everyone watches a lot of TV. I only know who Zoe Kravitz is because I watched The Cosby Show as a preteen (when it originally aired), so knew who Lisa Bonet was and that she was dating then married Lenny Kravitz (and namedropped him on her show[s]). Assuming that people need to lie about not knowing celebrities rather than just accepting that they don’t spend their time the way you do is frankly bizarre to me. I’m a writer (agented, NY multipublished, no you have not heard of me), so I spend my time doing that, and reading. I listen to audiobooks a lot when doing housework & cooking dinner, or I watch KZbin or documentaries or something. I have a GSD I walk every day. I have a husband and children. I think we get mixed info. My derm says that I can use eye cream all over my face but not to use my face cream on my eyes. His reasoning is eye creams are formulated to not harm our eyeballs. 🤷♀️
@elizabethclairewolfrosenda3391 Жыл бұрын
Working in optometry & opthalmology, your derm is quite right (or mostly right). Often the problem people can tend to experience regular facial moisturizers or as Cassandra suggested using vaseline to seal in an active is less with the eyeball itself but the *inner* lining of the eyelid. Even when ingredients-wise the 'actives' are the same, the formulation often isn't; one of the big differences is viscosity. You always want to try to avoid getting *any* of the products directly in your eye if you can, but because most eye creams or eye serums are formulated to absorb more quickly, if they do actually get *in* your eye they are *much* less likely than thicker facial moisturizers to cause blockages in the ducts or glands of the mucus membrane & lead to painful styes. That being said, $400 for an eye cream is absolutely insane. I'm pretty sure that I've never paid more than $15 for a perfect decent eye cream.

Have the Rhonda Allison Mandelic Defense Lotion. It's like a light exfoliating toner. Really thin but good and not used every day either.

I have disagreements with my friends because they refuse that the only difference in products is the price not the ingredients , They believe that you're get better ingredients for the higher price , They don't believe that there being ripped off.

okay, I normally dont ever post a comment on any video. But I just felt obligated to inform you guys !! Because of the original video of Zoey Kravitz beauty routine, I decided to buy the iSun SPF , i mean , a spf that smells like peanutbutter? Who doesnt want that ?!! Its not cheap imo , I payed around 70 euro including shipping. The website says 4.8 oz, reality is you get 3.3 oz. I did contact iSun about this and I am waiting for a response. However, the product smells DEVINE , it really is indeed peanutbutter en coco , love it. But you see EVERY - SINGLE - CREASE and pore !! It leaves a horrible white cast. I know this product isnt really meant to ''sink'' in the skin , but this just sits on top all day long. I can literally run my fingernail over my skin and collect the product under my nails. Just in case you were thinking about getting this spf ...

I was eating my bowl of cereal and oatmilk when Cassandra said "...you should smell her crevices...", and I literally almost choked on my food. She's dangerously funny...

Hi Cassandra - New viewer here and enjoying your content. Heard your brief comment about the Keto diet and Epilepsy. I've never heard that before. I know you're not a doctor and don't give medical advice - no worries), but I'd love to look into this. Both my son and I suffer with it. Can you please point me in the right direction for research. Thanks. Happy Friday!

Abbey Yung is a good resource for shampoo/conditioner. There's also Manes by Mell (curly hair) and Brad Mondo who are hair stylists. Dr Dray also has videos.
